Lyrics:

At Standing Rock the Jackboot Jump
You’d swear was all the rage
Whether tearing up old treaties,
Or just tearing up the place
It’s always corporate infrastructure
Over the structure of your face

In Moscow the Jackboot show
Has so much in store
For any silly student
Who doesn’t wanna learn the score
So the Moscow Jackboot Ballet
Finds some scared young dancing floor

In Hong Kong it won’t be long
‘til they have to fall in line
For the long hand of Beijing
Stretching south a thousand miles
Where they rock the Jackboot Jump there
Like that shit’s going out of style

All around the world
You’d think that things were looking rough
But the jackboot only jumps down
On people standing up
So you know good things are happening
When the jackboot needs to jump

He’s an old young man. He’s Joe Biden without the baggage. He appeals to Boomer Dems because he’s what they think a “young person” should be.

I think he has some strengths but he’s not really presidential material. I like him as a VP candidate but his more recent actions have made me wonder about that too.

Let’s be really accurate here, it’s not the generational appeal, it’s the whiteness. He isn’t trying to appeal to minority boomers.

His real appeal is that he’s non-threatening. He’s a young white guy who doesn’t want to raise taxes, doesn’t want to introduce new regulations, doesn’t want to radically change things, but does want to help out those who think that folks of my generation are what is wrong with this country. If he were straight, he would have been leading the pack months ago.

I don’t dislike him, rather the opposite, I just have my reservations about whether he is sufficiently qualified for the office of President.

More so than Trump ever was, but I would nonetheless prefer Elizabeth or Kamala, or even Biden if it came to that.

This was one of my concerns with the Model 3 and the glass roof/huge windshield. It hasn’t been an issue at all, I’m happy to say. You can control the climate remotely, and there is also cabin overheat protection. And while driving, the sun never had too much of an impact. The glass is pretty well insulated and the HVAC works rather quickly. My gas cars would always take forever in extremes.

Bluejays are fierce peanut predators. They will cold-cock a squirrel to get to one, but that’s gratuitous. Squirrels will go for the sunflower seed over a peanut any day.

Former Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA) told CNN that Republicans are in public “standing with the president for the moment,” despite the impeachment inquiry prompted by the Ukraine scandal.

He added: “But there’s no question, having spoken to many of them privately, they’re absolutely disgusted and exhausted by the president’s behavior. They resent being put in this position all the time.”

Digging out from under the Black Friday Shoppocalypse…I work in mass market retail. One of our better ideas isn’t to have everyone just swarm us. We have everything positioned in exact places and everyone knows where everything is, with maps and shit.

This year was not a normal year, at the meeting one of our people asked about getting maps, because maps are kind of important.

London Bridge Shooting as Police Respond to Stabbing

The roadway was closed, and the incident brought the area around the bridge to a standstill and prompted panic.
The police opened fire on London Bridge, a busy thoroughfare in the central part of the British capital, according to eyewitnesses, bringing the area around the bridge on Friday to a standstill and sparking panic.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement that officers were called at 1:58 p.m. to a stabbing near London Bridge. A man was detained by the police and a number of people were injured, the authorities said.

Videos posted on social media showed police vehicles blocking both sides of the roadway on London Bridge. Another video, taken from on board a nearby bus, showed three police officers with their guns drawn and pointed at a person lying on the ground.

One eyewitness described seeing a man wielding a knife shot by police.

Ohio bill orders doctors to ‘reimplant ectopic pregnancy’ or face ‘abortion murder’ charges

Ohio introduces one of the most extreme bills to date for a procedure that does not exist in medical science

A bill to ban abortion introduced in the Ohio state legislature requires doctors to “reimplant an ectopic pregnancy” into a woman’s uterus - a procedure that does not exist in medical science - or face charges of “abortion murder”.

This is the second time practising obstetricians and gynecologists have tried to tell the Ohio legislators that the idea is currently medically impossible.

The move comes amid a wave of increasingly severe anti-abortion bills introduced across much of the country as conservative Republican politicians seek to ban abortion and force a legal showdown on abortion with the supreme court.

They are literally insane

Missed all you Lizards yestiddy because I was throwing down with Mom, drinking wine, and encouraging my teen neices to become Nasty Women. Crushed the bird, roast potatos, and the gravy. Stuffing almost got lost but with some kitchen kunning and perserverance it was saved to rave reviews.

This will be a long one so I’ll hide to save space for you non-foodie normies.

So the British are facing the same malevolent media factors with the same type of evil leader as we are — the only difference is that the Democrats have decent and honorable leadership — and their Presidential candidates (Tulsi excepted) are far superior to the deplorable Labour Party Corbyn.

Once again, the media pays attention to Kamala Harris only so they can pour more dirt on her and try to bury her before the body is even dead.

How Kamala Harris’s Campaign Unraveled

Ms. Harris is the only 2020 Democrat who has fallen hard out of the top tier of candidates. She has proved to be an uneven campaigner who changes her message and tactics to little effect and has a staff torn into factions.

Like…jesus fucking christ.

EDIT: Just looking at the comments too, all the screams of how she’s not “authentic”, “platitudes’ and just generally repeating how everyone HAS to hate her, it’s clear: she got Hillary’d, and unforgivingly so. And now it’s Warren’s turn to get Hillary’d again. This country will never brook for a female candidate for president ever again it seems.

The thing that minorities and women who support Trump and the alt right will never get is that Trump and the alt right is a white man’s grievance movement. That women and minorities cannot be successful but only used to push “See we’re not racist/sexist.” They don’t have enough self awareness to acknowledge this though and that the whole movement they attach themselves to are racist, sexist pricks.

Thing is, I’m not sure most of them even pretend that there isn’t a white male superiority at the center of it. The problem is that most of them have internalized and agree with it, and see the only way to live is to be one of the ‘good ones’.

I follow a lot of KHivers and despite her low polling they keep me positive about her campaign. While I don’t want to miss the forest for the trees and become a blind stan going all in on one candidate, there’s something to this tweet. As long as she has the $ she can keep campaigning and I know there’s a ways to go to, and Obama wasn’t polling well at first at all. It just seems sorta weird that she does well in debates, doesn’t have the gotcha moments with constituencies, and baggage the other candadates have to some degree. I quite simply think she’s the best candidate. But the polling isn’t there, yet. It may never get there.

But the ‘end of the campaign’ narrative already? I gotta get behind the pay wall to read it.

True. I think there’s a lot of delusion, self hate, etc that fuels this movement.

Between the Media never treating her as a ‘darling’ the same way they’re doing with Mayor Pete, the combo of “KAMALA IS A COP!” and ADOS bullshit denting her online base, and just the gunshy pragmatism of most of the electorate clinging to ‘electability’ arguments, it feels like the fix has been in since post-first debate. The fact that Pete is surging on the back of anti-identity politics BS and shitting on gov’t services just makes it feel like it’s proof positive of the impenetrability and invincibility of the almighty Narrative. Never can it be fought or beaten, for it will forever win out every time.

Fact. Misogyny and skin color/other is still a few points against. Women and PoC still have to do things better to be treated as equals.

Yup. Pete is def in the Darling role right now. I like him and think he’ll do well in the long run but he’s not ready and also has problems. The cowtowing to right wing narratives or trying to not offend Red State sensibilities is a big problem.

The Kamala is a Cop idiocy reeks of rabid leftist vitriol primed with the nitrous of Russian ratfuckery.

I like both Kamala and Amy and have many friends who are Amy fans. There was a concerted effort by Bernie Bros to take down Kamala from the first. That said, I am also fond of 2 B candidates who haven’t made the debates: Bullock and Bennett. Too bad they can’t replace Yang and Tulsi, neither of whom belong there.

As someone who thought ‘Go All The Way’ was in many ways the perfect pop single, this really disappoints me.

(Note: I was not a fan of his post-Raspberries output. Clive Davis convinced him that sappy ballads were the keys to the kingdom, and Carmen fell for it.)

Amy did good in the last debates. But all candidates seem to have just enough $ to keep going. Kam re-orged her campaign a few weeks ago, that generated ‘Sky is Falling’ news coverage.

If these billionaires really cared about our country they would fund the best candidates and not themselves.

That thought never leaves my mind. It shouldn’t leave any other Dem candidates either. But I trust her with the football, the 3AM phone call, and the sausage of politics. There’s a few losers in the Dem bench but it is deep.

She would savage those treasonous motherfuckers something fierce.

As someone who thought ‘Go All The Way’ was in many ways the perfect pop single, this really disappoints me.

(Note: I was not a fan of his post-Raspberries output. Clive Davis convinced him that sappy ballads were the keys to the kingdom, and Carmen fell for it.)

You’d think a son of Jewish immigrants from Russia per Wiki would be a little empathetic to the ugly nationalism that is being used against people. The nationalists would return us as a planet to where we were in the lead up to the world wars. To think globally is to be aware of the fact that we are more connected than ever. The nationalists don’t see that.

Fact. Misogyny and skin color/other is still a few points against. Women and PoC still have to do things better to be treated as equals.

And frankly the left/Dems aren’t immune from it. No one is but I really feel her supporters’ disappointment. I really would take her over anyone running. She imo offers the most as a candidate. She’s closest to my ideology but she also has the real temperament and best skillset to be potus along with the right experience.

These fuckers talked about impeaching Clinton on day 1. Trump is his own enemy. He is why he is being impeached.

I want to yell at those mooks, that Impeachment is in the Constitution and is a valid thing to do. When Clinton was being impeached, I thought the charges were bullshit, but the process itself was valid, and hoped Congress would do the right thing.

I would have settled for a censure, but never denied that it happened. It’s worse now, with Congress not even acknowledging it happened. I wouldn’t have expected Republicans to agree with the charges, but at least they would acknowledge that it happened.

That is why I’m concerned about next year and a Trump loss. While the Constitution is black-letter clear on Presidential succession, like the rules of Impeachment, many of the followers are ignorant folks who know more about football rules than civics. And maybe not that much about football. Trump would have to leave once the Electoral votes are certified, and there is no “Acting President” or some such. But I can see some of those trying to shoot up the place none the less.

Kamala needs a cabinet post.

If Trump actually debates anyone, Kamala might be his fiercest opponent but debates don’t move the needle when it comes to Trump. He is brilliant at dominating the stage and, as the GOP has shown, truth is irrelevant. People fall for a particular narrative and, once there, it’s difficult to dislodge them.

There is no way for the average person to do their own investigation into most issues; we have to rely on others. Thanks to the failings of even the MSM and with the enthusiastic support of the RW media, most voters cannot distinguish between a true and false argument, especially where the false argument is presented with more passion than the truth: “The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity”.

I believe Kamala would seriously rattle him in a one on one debate. She wouldn’t fall for his bullshit tactics and would catch him ass-out on just about every topic.

She is everything he secretly fears. A smart, accomplished woman of color who knows the law.

It’s fake populism. The idea that the predominantly white Midwest is more “real America” than NY and CA. It’s a bunch of trash and it’s frustrating that New York’s largest paper repeats it.

It’s *all* real america
