We need (but won’t get) Washington War Crimes trials, followed by a de-Republicanation of the US, as was done (partially) in Germans and Japan after WWII.

Actually, wingnuts do care about dead immigrant children in US custody. That kind of total depravity is the only thing that can still excite the jaded moral degenerates of the US right.

they are crackpots

They are not trafficking in ‘mis” information. They are deliberately lying, twisting, contorting, spinning, saying things they know are not true as a weapon to get what they want. And what they want is something else entirely from what they are even saying. That they are afraid to actually say because it wouldn’t sell if out in the open.

Investigation underway after ‘completely inappropriate’ DCR training photo found

KANAWHA COUNTY, w.va. (WSAZ) — An investigation is underway Thursday after a “completely inappropriate” photo was found by members of the Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety (DMAPS).

The photo of Basic Training Class Number 18, which shows corrections officers trainees in a Nazi salute, has been deemed “hurtful, disturbing, and highly insensitive” by the DMAPS Cabinet Secretary Jeff Sandy.

A number of employees have been suspended during the investigation.

Commissioner Betsy Jividen has directed all copies be destroyed to “keep its harm from spreading” and to “preserve high standards and professionalism of the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation and the Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety.”

Gov. Jim Justice has called for the firing of those involved.

She not only will go up and down stairs but actually loves going outside. So much so we have to let her out every couple of hours otherwise she sits in front of the door and whines. it’s that the reason no R’s are for impeachment is in

Fun fact: the federalist papers are available for free on the Congressional website. And here’s Hamilton’s exact quote from 65:

Where else than in the Senate could have been found a tribunal sufficiently dignified, or sufficiently independent? What other body would be likely to feel CONFIDENCE ENOUGH IN ITS OWN SITUATION, to preserve, unawed and uninfluenced, the necessary impartiality between an INDIVIDUAL accused, and the REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PEOPLE, HIS ACCUSERS?

It’s also worth remembering that when Hamilton was writing this, Senators weren’t expected to be popularly elected. Which, in theory, would have reduced the potential for naked partisanship in the Senate.

Aryan Pride” for Jesus: An Oklahoma pastor is under arrest after being caught running a prostitution ring with a white supremacist.

Pastor Walter Eugene Brazington Jr. is “being charged with procuring for prostitution and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony,” according to a report from Tulsa World.

The Oklahoma pastor was caught running a massage parlor that was being used as a front for a prostitution ring. His partner in crime was white supremacist Tiffany Roach, an HIV positive prostitute who calls herself “Aryan Woman” and professes to have “Whitegirl Pride.”

Brazington is listed as an apostle and prophet for the All Nations Evangelistic Team, a preaching group based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

I’ll save Pete time: This isn’t going to win over any “independents,” but it will further turn off progressives. And the “moderates” that he’s competing with Joe for will hold him to such promises, which means the moment that some “think tank” drops a report saying his proposals don’t add up, they’re gonna freak and run for Joe’s banner.

Baltimore is lovely, indeed, and scores especially highly on ease of access (though nothing beats the light rail straight to the new Twins ballpark, as far as that goes!)

It loses a couple of points on my ratings system because the concessions are fairly limited and bland. You can eat so much better and more creatively at almost any other park. The Mets have that piece of the fan experience down cold. (Yankees, not so much.)

The White Sox made the same mistake the Jays did, opening their park right before the new wave of retro designs. But it’s a fairly cheap, comfortable day out. Wrigley is Wrigley. You go for the history, not the comfort or the sightlines. Same with Fenway.

Have an old friend who lives in Minnesota so I see his photos of Target. Looks nice. Much more character than the Metrodome imo. Camden Yards I love for the architecture. The warehouse is iconic. Target is very nice indeed, though maybe not for April baseball! I was at the Nats once and I agree - it’s one of a generic batch of ballparks of that vintage, perfectly pleasant but not especially distinctive. Denver, Cincinnati, Comerica in Detroit, the new Phillies park, the new Braves park, new Busch Stadium, even new Yankees Stadium all kind of came out of that same mold.

A lot of people created a backstory that the husband got the wife the bike because he thought she was fat or some such bullshit. Lot of reading into the situation.

The holiday commercials that always get me are the car ones. If my partner ever showed up and was like, “I got you a Christmas present, it’s…. a NEEEEEEW CAR!” My response would probably be to ask for a divorce, because who makes a major purchase like that without consulting their partner?

And the company’s response to the backlash - basically telling people who didn’t like the ad that they weren’t smart enough to get it - didn’t help matters.

It’s $2,295 for the bike, with no interest financing. I have one, and right now, I’m using it probably 5 times/week on average, with my wife using a few times more. The whole vibe around Peloton is a bit cultish, but the bike is a phenomenal piece of exercise equipment and the workouts are legit. After doing those workouts last winter, I was immediately setting PR’s in the spring on some of my favorite mountain biking trails.
