“…Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested Jews and other minorities in Russia, including Tatars and Ukranians, could be to blame for meddling in the US presidential election.

“Maybe they’re not even Russians,” he told NBC News. “Maybe they’re Ukrainians, Tatars, Jews, just with Russian citizenship. Even that needs to be checked.”

One point just mentioned in passing is that the crash in coal employment had nothing to do with a liberal “war on coal’: it began under GOP presidents, and the industry had virtually vanished long before Obama began taking climate action 2/

does not matter, those unemployed miners are convinced that if we just abolish all those “stifling” health, safety and environmental regulations, well-paid jobs with benefits will come rushing back (without any need for unions, either!)

I mean who doesn’t have a Robert E Lee tree angel and confederate flag lights every year? Jesus Christ this is more bull shit than actual bulls produce.

But they have no place on public property, public buildings or as part of any publicly sponsored event, except perhaps at a museum or historic battle site.

The viral star behind Peloton’s ‘controversial’ exercise bike commercial has appeared in a humorous advert for Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin.
The ad stars the actress now dubbed the ‘Peloton Wife’ - named Monica Ruiz - and shows her enjoying a glass of gin with some girlfriends at a bar.
She stares off into the distance before commenting about how ‘smooth’ the gin is.

Her friends offer words of support to the woman, with one of her friends even stating: ‘You’re safe here.’

Ruiz’s raises her glass and toasts with her girls.

‘To be beginnings,’ she states before chugging the rest of her drink.

Reynolds captioned the video: ‘Exercise bike not included.’

The Pitfalls of Political Trash Talk
If Biden tries to beat Trump at his own game, he will lose. by David K. Shipler, Wash. Monthly

The best reason for Biden to avoid trash talk is that DT lives there, and has no boundaries.

If he is nominated and Trump is able to draw him into a trash-talking contest, with such epithets as “Sleepy Joe,” Biden will be playing on Trump’s home course against an adversary who knows every sand trap and fairway. And Trump has no moral brakes. Biden does. Trump wades in gutters where Biden probably wouldn’t go, and wouldn’t look comfortable if he did. …
The electorate is divided along such dogmatic lines that policy choices have mostly been already made. Persuadable voters need something else: they have to like the Democratic candidate, not just the plans and programs. Insulting a skeptical voter does not make you very likeable.

I had to suffer through that Peloton ad numerous times over various sportsball events on Thanksgiving weekend. I have watched that Aviation Gin ad five times at least to make up for it. And I might watch it a few more times. The Peloton ad sucked, even though, theoretically, I’d be in the class of people who might be interested in the bike, because I need to exercise and I have the disposable income available to plunk down on a nearly $3K bike and a monthly subscription. The Aviation Gin ad is a great answer. LOL.

PS It’s 15 seconds in before anyone says anything. You’re dwelling on the actress’ face and trying to figure out where you know her from and then, before she speaks, it dawns on you.

On the outdoor steps, the hallways and the rooms of the White House today (including the Oval Office🙌🏼), worship, prayer and blessings flowed from a bunch of songbirds!

3) Haley as acting POTUS runs for and wins in 2020 because Americans are fucking idiots (particularly independent voters) and are like “Ooooh, the GOP ran a non-white woman! See, they’re just as liberal as those libs!”

Haley then goes on to keep promoting the same evil polices the current GOP does and gets away with it because she doesn’t come off as insane.

A thought occurred to me last is that despite all of the failsafes built into the Constitution, the founders were working on the assumption that the majority people participating in government would do so with a clear moral center*.

It never occurred to them that the flaw in their plan was “What if an entire political party went for a mad power grab?”

*At least, as a moral as a group whose makeup consisted of a disturbingly large amount of slavers can be.

He’s not there. They are just proclaiming that they’re bringing “Jesus” into the whorehouse and surrounding Trump with a “hedge of protection.” Trump would never go to one of these things. This is how he panders to the Charismatic end of the Evangelical spectrum—lets them have a room in the whorehouse White House so they can proclaim they have inroads in the government.

Also, there are stationary bikes that are just as good or better that don’t come with the dumb subscription. The last thing I want is some bullshit pseudo social class experience while I’m working out. Just let me listen to free podcasts.

Like I’ve said before, my personal anecdote is I’m surrounded by a lot of people who hate Trump but call themselves independent voters. They also consider themselves religious, although the amount of actual churchgoers is a lot smaller then they want to admit. They all universally believe in God.

They look at these videos and go “What’s the harm? They’re just praying. There’s bigger issues affecting this country.”

Consitituent-fluent, they ain’t. And I’m finding it hard to believe I’m the outlier here.

Most Americans will give someone a pass if they claim religion, and most Americans see religion as not harmful. So don’t expect this shit to go away any time soon. Unless we vote the GOP out of power, which requires the above-referenced brain trust to see a government endorsing a specific religion as a huge danger.

Which they won’t.

Okay, off to the PO and Wawa for me.

Close. tRump’s hairstyle is achieved by giving himself a “swirlie”, a practice he picked up as a young man after getting constant swirlies and deciding he liked the look.

The low flow toilets don’t hold enough water in the bowl to get the affect without multiple flushes.

And now you also know why he had a lock installed on his bedroom door.

I know I get weird looks when I am somewhere (usually with one of my parents) that they start something with a prayer. When they say “let’s bow our heads and pray” I neither bow my head nor pray.

I don’t ask them to dance around the fire when I’m sacrificing a goat so why should I play their games.

See, I read this scenario as “Trump replaces Pence with Haley on the 2020 Republican ticket”, since even if the Admin might somehow persuade the Veep to resign, they would still have to nominate a replacement - and have them approved by both Houses of Congress. Not really likely, IMO.
However, if Trump was trying to attract ANY additional 2020 voters beyond the red-hat mouthbreather “base”, Nikki might be a “rational” choice, as you outline in 3 above: still “insane” IMO, but rational….

I always thought this was a good way of phrasing that: “Maxim 70: Failure is not an option - it is mandatory. The option is whether or not to let failure be the last thing you do.”

That said, I don’t dislike the two recent movies as much as other seem to. Rogue One would have been hard for anything to follow - I actually rank in as number 3 after ESB at 1 and ANH at 2 - but there are good moments in them, especially TLJ. If nothing else, the stable boy force pulling the broom to him made me want to stand up and cheer.
