It is apparently a direct sequel to the original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2. So the 2016 reboot is simply being ignored.
A few highlights from the IG report:
*We determined that the election reporting from Christopher Steele played no role in the
opening of Crossfire Hurricane
*However, testimonial and documentary evidence we reviewed established that
Strzok and Lisa Page played no role in the substantive preparation or approval of
any of the four FISA applications, including the Woods process. We did not find
documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation
influenced the FBI’s decision to seek FISA authority on Carter Page.
Everybody has asshole clients. I’ve had quite a few and may share some day. Some of them were lawyers! I’ve also had some great clients, some of those were lawyers too.

The only proper impeachment process must start immediately after an election, but not be completed before the next election. It is only the threat of impeachment, not actual impeachment, that is appropriate. Or something.

If God is in control, why does this guy need to incite people to do anything?
What’s interesting to note is the “Going too fast” BS only started last week…right around the time that the Repub witness started suggesting that impeachment couldn’t continue unless all the witnesses under subpoena had been forced by the courts to testify. The message seems pretty clear: the Repubs thought Trump would be able to drag this shit out until after the election by forcing every single subpoena to worm their way through the bowels of the courts. By saying that those witnesses are not needed to prove their case, the Dems are totally wrecking the game plan of nimrods like Collins to avoid any votes on impeachment until it’s too late for them to effect the election itself.

Because, stuff. He keeps saying ‘I’m Done!’ over and over. Then he rants again and the rage bubbles up then ‘I’m Done!’
I’m concerned that the GOP is not merely gaslighting us, but also they’re gaslighting themselves.
Last month, in a news interview Kevin McCarthy accused the interviewer of ‘making up’ the “though” in “I would like you to do us a favor, though”, and he seemed genuinely surprised that it was really in there - despite this being in the news for weeks at that point, SPECIFICALLY talking about the “though”, because it clearly conveyed conditionality.
This weekend, Mark Meadows denied that Trump had asked for an investigation of the Bidens, even though that was clearly stated in the call summary.
Sure, Meadows and/or McCarthy may be lying, but I’m concerned it’s more like the scene in “WestWorld”, where Bernard reveals that he’s one of the “hosts”, when he looks at something that the human sees, and says, “It doesn’t look like anything to me.”
the phone numbers were not ‘matched’

subpoena of phone records is meaningless unless you determine who was on the other end

The party of warrantless wiretaps, digging through library records, and “If you’ve done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about” bitching about the privacy of private citizens. Go fuck yourselves!
Sensenbrenner would be well advised not to remind us of Joe McCarthy.
Note to Sensenbrenner:
Per the IG report, Paul Manafort was *already* under criminal investigation by the FBI (for money laundering) when the Russia investigation was opened in late July 2016. This means Trump’s campaign manager was an FBI target from the start.

So we’re basically seeing the same BS that Repubs engaged in during the last Intel Committee hearing, using the entirety of their time to filibuster and gaslight. Sadly, unlike during that hearing, Nadler will not make a joke of his colleagues by allowing Goldman to respond to attacks on his character.
Of course, this is what Trump was ALWAYS going to say, no matter what the IG report found. Especially since he’s functionally illiterate, and too lazy to read things even if he weren’t.
President Trump, who has publicly accused his predecessor of trying to sabotage his campaign and the FBI of a politically motivated coup, says the inspector general report finding no evidence to support those claims is “far worse than I ever thought possible.”

Basically what we have going on is that, since the Intel Committee had to conduct the job that would normally be assigned to a Special Council by a non-corrupt AG, what we’re seeing is the equivalent of questioning that Special Council for the reasoning behind the conclusions in their report.

Michelle Obama says the country will recover from impeachment battle
Former first lady Michelle Obama said in a television interview that aired Monday that she is confident the country will recover from the impeachment battle.
“It’s surreal,” she said. “I don’t think people know what to make of it. But do I think we can come back from it? Oh yeah.”
“We’ve seen tough times in this country,” Obama said during the interview that aired on NBC’s “Today” show. “You know, we’ve gone through depressions and wars and bombings and terrorist attacks, and we’ve gone through Jim Crow, and we’ve always come out stronger. And that’s what we have to continue to believe, because what’s our choice? To ball up in a corner and call it a day? Well, that’s not fair to this next generation that’s coming (after) us that are counting on us to get this right.”
The former first lady offered her assessment while on a trip to Vietnam to raise awareness about the importance of educating young girls.

Graphika, a cyber-intelligence firm, discovered a campaign on Reddit and Twitter to disseminate leaked trade documents ahead of the upcoming elections in the U.K. The campaign is similar to a Russian-linked disinformation effort identified earlier this year. The online effort mostly targets British politicians, celebrities, and journalists with a portfolio of documents appearing to detail key U.S.-U.K. trade negotiations. Ben Nimmo of Graphika said it was not clear whether those behind the campaign were Russian, or just trying to imitate previous Russian information campaigns. Ultimately, said Nimmo, “Influencers, politicians, journalists need to be aware of the fact that they are going to be personally targeted by information operations.”
We will have to figure out how to be ready for similar things here.

Michelle goes to Vietnam to promote education. Melon hangs BeBest ornaments on a Salvation Army tree in London.
I saw a tweet earlier that stated that the Dems should be forcing Castor to defend his BS rather than just asking Goldman to confirm things we already know. Given what I’ve seen so far, that would have been a much more effective strategy, if only because it would show just how paper thin the “defense” he’s offering is.
This argument that the hearings are invalid because there are no “fact witnesses” — do the Republicans realize that people watching this know Trump has ordered all fact witnesses not to comply with subpoenas? This is such a stupidly disingenuous argument it gives me a headache.

Gets back to what I just posted, that the Dems have not really done enough to tear down Castor’s defense. Instead, we’ve just got both sides reinforcing what they feel is their best case by focusing strictly upon their own counsel.
And again, those Javelin missiles have played no direct part in Ukraine’s defense.

Feminism is an clever weapon. It makes men to hate their own women.
By portraying women as strong as men, they deprive men of one of their most important roles: protection.
This frustrates men, to the point of anger, and wanting to hurt women as if they were males.
Interesting things to be deducted from this:
1) male frustration leads to anger, and anger to violence. women should not initiate that inevitable and inexorable progression by being strong or independent
2) male-on-male hatred and violence is somehow okay, only “bad” thing is when women step into the crossfire.
3) this guy really needs a blowjob.
As @GReschenthaler insists that the conspiracy theory that Ukraine meddled in the 2016 election is a “fact” that only Democrats dispute, let’s remember that our intelligence community and even officials in the Trump administration have discredited it too. https://t.co/7p3XDkhpm9

In fact, a spaceship with 100 women and a freezer full of test tubes can colonize whatever planet we’re sending the ships to. For the future of our species, it’d probably be a good thing if female astronauts drastically outnumbered male astronauts.
