The polyclinic of the University Hospital (Ostrava) in Poruba passed a very wild morning. At the trauma surgery clinic a shooting incident was reported. At the moment, the police are intervening.
According to unofficial information, several people are shot. The version differs according to eyewitnesses.
Some say that there was a man shooting on the spot, picking out specific people, and everything looked like an execution scene, someone else claimed that he started shooting randomly and fired at two storage tanks.

Quick update on the Ostrava hospital shooting. The Czech police apologized for any earlier confusion….they have the suspect’s name, and the license plate of his car which he apparently used to escape the scene.
They’ve also notified Polish police in the event he tries to flee into Poland…..it’s only a few kilometers away from here as we’re pretty much right on the border.
Looks like the suspect is known to the Czech police; seems he’s had run-ins with the law before. They’ve corrected the suspect photo and added the vehicle and license plate of the car he’s driving - it’s a nationwide APB/BOLO.

Exactly. The fact that such occurrences here are so rare is why so many people, especially here in Ostrava, are seriously shocked about what just went down. And in Ostrava University Hospital no less, which is well-regarded not only in the region but in the Czech Republic as well for teaching/training medical professionals from not just here in-country but for having trained doctors from the Middle East, the Far East and Africa as well.
According to Czech police, the shooter, identified as Ctirad V., a 42-year-old construction worker from nearby Opava (a few kms away from Ostrava), somehow managed to get his hands on a pistol. He had no firearms license, and as such, the weapon - a 9mm pistol - was in his possession illegally. As per the suspect’s boss, the suspect seems to have taken it into his head that he was seriously ill, and when medical exams at FNO failed to find any illness whatsoever, he began to believe that the staff at FNO was lying to him.

Oh yeah, if we win in 2020, we probably not only have retained the House but expanded it and possibly won the Senate. I just don’t want a let down in 2022. It’s very rare for the President’s party to gain seats in the first midterm election. However, I do think if we do it right, we can limit Republican gains in 2022 and set up 2024 for a good re-election year.

In the end, Trump does not challenge their status quo. Warren is very much a threat to their status quo of being mediocre intellect males who have influence. That’s what Warren scares certain individuals the most. She’s a threat to their influence that tehy don’t deserve. Joe wasn’t an upstanding Congressman and even left Congress under a cloud. Steve’s campaign work with McCain left a lot to be desired. A Warren presidency would see more men and women of different backgrounds rising on their individual merits rather than being chummy with the right people.

What makes you think that the Russians cannot manipulate the actual vote count? McConnell is blocking all bills on election security. MoscowMitch and the rest of the merry gang of Putin followers that comprise the modern GOP are all in line with Russian interference, though apparently they don’t yet think it’s sufficiently effective to guarantee them control of the House. But that day is coming.
You gotta remember that Schmidt and Scarborough are still right wingers. They still have a big problem with the idea that government and should be an agent of positive socio-economic change. Yeah maybe they’re not outright crooked like Trump and his family but they’re definitely guys who are threatened by the creation of a new Middle Class that gets there through the same and or similiar social programs that benefited their moms and dads in the post WWII era. I’m not a huge Warren fan but you have to be naive if you don’t see that is what angers so many Never Trump conservatives about her. It’s also not in the Kremlin’s interest for Trump to be seen as popular. Obviously they would prefer they keep their puppet in power but the ideal situation for the Kremlin is Trump again losing the popular vote but winning the EC or if they really want chaos to have Trump win the popular vote but lose the EC. They’re not doing what they do out of a great love for Trump. They’re doing what they do because they want Americans disillusioned with the process and I hate to say it but it’s worked to some extent. Trump has definitely disillusioned me. Not with Democracy itself but with my fellow Americans.

No, he doesn’t need over 50% to win. That’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about how his ego needs over 50% of the vote which is a totally different animal. It still bothers him that he lost the popular vote and did not get over 50% of the vote. There’s a reason why he still claims there was voter fraud even though he technically won. He’s definitely got a lot of jealously of Obama for actually winning with over 50% of the vote twice. It’s an ego thing. It’s kind of how if you’re an athlete you like to win the close games obviously but you prefer to win big.
