Sean Hannity needs to stop up his game because Lou Dobbs is going to be the one Donnie tells all the secrets to if he keeps up. Done more for blacks than any President since Lincoln. GTFO. Oh and of course, I love how identity politics is bad but then they do it to try to act like Trump is anything other than a racist pile of horse shit.

re: #42 Ace Rothstein

Hell, didn’t Eisenhower desegregate the military?

No. He did order that troops be used to reinforce units during the Bulge with no regard to race. The troops experience fighting alongside one another was used by Truman as his official excuse when he desegregated the Army because Southerners were being shitheads to returning soldiers. Combat in Korea would then validate the decision.

Got that, everyone? Republican candidates can now break any laws they want in their campaigns, as long as the Trump regime thinks it is ok.

We’re going to have to start relying on investigative reporters to unearth all of this crap. There are a good number of reporters that are up to the task. I think there will also be a lot of insiders willing to leak documents. So much shit is going to be coming out in the next six months.

Big nope on this, even though it sucks prodigiously for Democrats to always be stuck cleaning up GOP messes and then getting blamed for the messes instead of being credited with the cleanup.

A fascist dictatorship in the US is the only possible result if the shit hits the fan when Republicans are in charge.

If it can even be done at all, it will take decades to wean people away from looking to the likes of Trump for stupid/evil answers to problems, and to finally start blaming Republicans for the consequences of their evil polices.

There’s no chance at all of that happening quickly in a crisis mode. 99+% of people make their worst decisions when rushed or in a crisis.

The Times is kind of schizo in that their reporters are digging pretty deep even as the management is so butt-kissy to Trump. WaPo can be good too. I guess I’m counting on reporters like David Corn from Mother Jones and outlets like the Daily Beast and The Guardian. Their work can get picked up by Rachael Maddow.

I Googled Jeffrey Epstein’s Girlfriend 2020 and the first thing that came up was a NYT article. You have to read fairly deep into the article to get the info (I only got a little ways in before I was cut off for not having an account). Maddow has said on her show that the juicy info is always towards the bottom of long stories, so you do have to read the whole thing. It’s not always the main point of the story. There were more stories, but most of them were in the English press because of the Prince Andrew connection.

My wife can relate to the pain. She had the same problems at Digital Equipment in the Eighties and Nineties. Corporations don’t care about data security, because that costs money.

Lots of IT folks, security experts, and software engineers in this thread saying “the struggle is real.”

But where are they going to publish it? The corporate media will drop is fast as they dropped the Jeffrey Epstein story. I sure haven’t seen any investigative reporting on his death, his girlfriend, what was found at his residence - nothing.

Odds are that you’d probably find some coverage in the tabloid media; mainstream media probably reckons that the whole squalid story isn’t “respectable” enough to merit coverage, but tabloid media tends to specialize in more salacious matters.

All I know about Don Winslow is he writes novels. How would he have contacts inside the DOJ?

Yep, the Base is morally degenerate. This is not a case of slimy manipulators misleading the well-intentioned but simple-minded rubes. The rubes are as slimy as the hucksters, which actually fits with con-artist tradition since prehistoric times, “you can’t cheat an honest man.”
