Time to vote! I just posted this to Facebook:

Friends, I regret to inform you that we won’t be voting for Biden/Harris on November 4 …

Because today we received our Oklahoma mail-in ballots and can vote for them right away! Huzzah! 😎
One question though: What the actual hell, Oklahoma? Biden/Harris is the third choice out of six for President, after Trump/Pence and the popular Libertarian duo of Jo Jorgensen and Jeremy Spike Cohen. (Kanye West is fifth!) And who the hell are Jade Simmons and Brock Pierce and why are they on my Presidential ballot? 🧐
Also, the three choices for the Straight Party Voting option are listed Republican first, Libertarian second, and Democratic third. Of course, if the Democrats are competitive here in the buckle of the Bible Belt, then they are winning nationally in a landslide. Still, it’s good to do what we can to move the trendline in the right direction everywhere we can. Peace. Vote! ✌️

This is my first (and last, as we’re moving after Thanksgiving) time voting in Oklahoma. At least there’s a straight party voting option, but the front loading of Republican and Libertarian candidates throughout the ballot just blows my mind.

Around here they randomize who shows up where on the ballot, and all ballots are not identically ordered. Shall I share how much fun it was to play “find your candidate” on the ballot wherein we recalled Gray Davis as governor (bad idea) and elected Arnold Schwarzenegger out of an excessive number of candidates?

Where is that clip of Trump telling those people at his rallies to put on their masks?

Then why did he ask that reporter last week to take his mask off when he was asking Trump a question?

In fairness, that reporter’s voice was a bit muffled by his mask and if Trump has some degree of hearing impairment that he won’t admit to, he could have been hard to understand.

Maybe the way for Biden to handle Trump in the debate is to refer to him as President Pinocchio after Trump states his first lie.

Word of the Day has a knack for coming up with words that I have never encountered but that often make sense and might even be useful.

Astrolatry

[ə-STRAH-lə-tree]

Part of speech: noun

Origin: English, late 17th century

1. The worship of stars and other celestial objects.

Examples of Astrolatry in a sentence
“My grandmother believed in astrolatry so much that she named all of her children after stars.”

“There’s more to astrolatry than just following the phases of the moon.”

About Astrolatry

Not astrology, but close. Where astrology looks to the stars for guidance, astrolatry takes it one step further and worships the stars.

If you have to worship an object, stars (like trees) are not a bad choice at all. Sure beats a golden calf or a mutated cheeto.

According to Wikipedia, 135 candidates on the CA Recall ballot in ‘03.

Well, even with Maine’s ranked-choice voting, it looks like it’s time to stick a fork in Susan Collins (and good goddam riddance).

South Carolina is a shocker, though: even though there’s still a lot of time til Election Day, for as “red” a state as SC is, that their Senate race should be a tossup is a real surprise. I’m still not sure Jaimie Harrison can pull it out, but it’s increasingly looking likely that that “Blue Wave” talk is not just wishful-thinking from the portside blogosphere.

Sadly, McConnell has a big lead over McGrath. My fellow Kentuckians are delusional. I’m going to donate to Harrison.

Did you see how small Trump’s lead over Biden is in S.C.? It has a substantial Black population.

Did Russians clone Donald Trump?
Did you see the mobile game where Russians kidnap Donald Trump in 2013 during Miss Universe in Moscow, clone and put him in the White House? If preprogrammed clone does not follow orders from the Kremlin, the auto-destruction mode will be triggered? Where is the real Donald Trump?

It is a fantasy game inspired by all the noise around the Russian interference in US elections.

Check it out. Search online for “BadAsVlad. Birth of Clones” to find the homepage badasvlad.com.

Have a wonderful day!

No offense, but I wouldn’t click on that link if you paid me.

Today was to be the ribbon cutting on the $2.4 million restoration of one of our park piers, but Sally decided to be a bitch. A chunk of a new Pensacola bridge is also missing.

A blindingly obvious fact. Even Trump cultists know that; they just don’t care.

The guy whose brown shirts murdered Reinoehl in Portland in cold blood? With no repercussions to date for this action, though it is premature to expect a completed investigation at this time. He wants to justify his crime. This is Nazi logic.
