The ECDC is saying that it’s being driven by the lifting of lockdowns and the easing of social distancing requirements. I don’t track European news, so I have no idea if that’s true or not.

911 Call From Intoxicated Jerry Falwell Jr.’s House Last Month Describes ‘A Lot Of Blood’

news.yahoo.com

According to records and 911 audio obtained by HuffPost, on the night of Aug. 30, Jerry Falwell Jr. was intoxicated and apparently injured; his wife, Becki Falwell, described “a lot of blood right now.”

Horrible news and I hate to see another human suffer but f*ck them. Those people led a vile life while condemning and ruining the lives of people doing far more innocent things.

Screw the Falwells and the whole industry they represent, karma is a bitch.

Horrible news and I hate to see another human suffer but f*ck them. Those people led a vile life while condemning and ruining the lives of people doing far more innocent things.

Screw the Falwells and the whole industry they represent, karma is a bitch.

On Aug. 31, Liberty’s board of trustees announced a comprehensive investigation by an outside firm of Jerry Falwell Jr.’s tenure as president. Earlier that morning, around 2:30 a.m., Bedford County dispatchers received a 911 call from Becki Falwell.

She described being at church around 11 p.m. and receiving a call from her husband, who said he was bleeding after a fall down the stairs. Finding the doors locked when she got home, she used a chair to break through the back door.

The dispatcher asked whether her husband had been drinking alcohol; Becki Falwell said “yes.” When asked if he had been drinking “heavily,” she said, “I’m not going to answer that question.”

The dispatcher explained that alcohol thins the blood and could account for the excessive bleeding, and restated the question.

“The more I tell you the name, the more you’re going to understand why we’re not talking to you right now,” Becki Falwell said. Dispatch logs, obtained by HuffPost via a public records request, state that “He won’t let her take him to the hospital as he is stubborn. Caller was not forthcoming.”

There’s nothing worthwhile to go back to.

“Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”

That is all conservatism has ever been. Trump is just making it immediately obvious to the most casual observer.

In a low-inflation environment who cares about the debt? it’s not like we are looking at rampant inflation due to organic or immigration growth. Yes, the number is high. But the U.S. can print as much money as it needs. We could have “cured” the debt back in 2001, but GWB decided to go for big tax cuts. And FFVCS did the same. The Fascists have ceded any and all “concern” about the debt. We will not run out of money. The only threat is if our “money” is ever devalued in the world market. Perhaps under FFVCS. Not under Biden.

I received the shipping confirmation letter last month. I ordered the stickers about two hours after Harris was announced as VP choice, so I think I may have beat the rush for product, but it disappeared after shipping. I received a tracking number, but the tracker says it never even entered the system. I have no idea what happened to them, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that the USPS office they were delivered to got some special instructions from DeJoy.

To quote one of the lone conservatives I actually thought was funny and cogent (P.J. O’Rourke): A credit card is like a junk bond.

You will not make money from your bank. The world has determined we are credit-worthy and there is little or no inflation. For most of our history interest rates remained very low. It wasn’t until the 1970s-1990s that interest rates ran high. Hell, I remember making 5 percent on my company’s money in the late 1990s.

Fundamentally, there is nothing wrong with deficits, as long as the world has faith in your currency. Japan has a debt that exceeds 200 percent of GDP. Russia’s is 12.5 percent. Would you rather have Japanese Yen or Russian Rubels?

hi

I WON THE LOTTO! ($4)

For the first time in a long time, my wife and I went to the county seat to do grocery shopping. Between the butcher and the grocery store, that was north of $700 replenishing supplies.

There was only one brand of sanitiser wipes available, an imported brand from Indonesia with no information about what’s in them. Pass.

The smoke/haze is horrible today, so bad my wife can smell smoke (her sense of smell is extremely limited from her car accident in the Nineties). Right now, the AQI in Scottsbluff is 103. Driving home, we could not see Courthouse and Jail Rocks from US-26 (about four miles away).

The state issued a health alert for the Panhandle’s air quality this morning.

Usually every two or three weeks. We’ve been holding off from going anywhere we don’t have to due to the epidemic, so we haven’t been to the store in at least two months (aside from picking up a few items in our town’s general store like milk).

Two nights ago, Trump insisted on sitting down for his town hall with George Stephanopoulos.

Tonight, @JoeBiden stood on stage for an hour and fifteen minutes with Anderson Cooper, fielding questions from the audience.

Begs the question, what is Trump hiding by sitting? UNFIT?

I don’t mock Trump for sitting instead of standing. This does not reflect on his ability to be President. Every aspect of his character, lack of experience, lack of knowledge render him unfit for the office — but not this. However, he can stand for extended time to deliver rants at a rally — wonder what the difference is here?

So when, do we think, some RWNJ blogger/radio host is going to claim that Joe Biden standing for 75 minutes is “proof” of his general feebleness and debility because he couldn’t get up again if he sat down….?

Still trying to infect everyone they can through the friendly competition of football.

The state commission which oversees high school football has said that due to the damaged season over the epidemic, all twenty-four Class A high school teams will be in the playoffs this year. They will seed the teams based on what their records were when the season was suspended.

FFVCS has tried the Biden is senile attack. He’s tried the Law and Order attack. Now he’s going back to the “greatest economy ever and can bring it back” attack.

They’ve got nothing.

And as long as Biden doesn’t drool or start clucking like a chicken in the debates, Biden’s going to win and win big!

It’s funny. The Trumpers claiming that Biden was given the questions in advance. Uh wouldn’t being able to remember them and craft an answer be proof of not having a cognitive decline but then again these are people who think Trump is a badass when in reality he’s the biggest wimp ever to be President.

The data also show that an increasing number of children under age 17 have tested positive for the virus, with the total now 5,929. That’s an increase of 389 cases since Monday. More than 2,700 educators have tested positive for the virus.

In a report released Sunday, the White House Coronavirus Task Force continued to place Iowa in the red zone for cases. Iowa has the nation’s third-highest rate for new cases per 100,000 people. The task force noted Iowa has seen a decrease in new cases in the past week.

The report repeated a recommendation that Iowa implement a statewide mask mandate. Gov. Kim Reynolds says a mandate wouldn’t be effective and isn’t needed.

She’s so Republican even the White House saying a a mask mandate is required is not enough.

Governor Reynolds is not an epidemiologist nor physician, nor does she play one in Des Moines. She has one semester of college. Afterward, she attempted accounting and dropped out of that as well.

She then learned the way to go was to be a Republican politician. She started as a county clerk (because failed accounting student) and worked her way through the Iowa senate, lieutenant governor, and now governor.

If I have to stand for 20 minutes washing dishes, my lower back starts killing me. So I’m very sympathetic to other olds who may have similar issues. And if I’m sitting on the floor (as can happen playing with the grand niece/ grand nephew), getting myself up can be a real chore.

Trump’s physical debilities don’t really matter — it’s his cognitive abilities, temperament, and character that demonstrate his total incapability of handling the job he has. How any sane voter can listen to him and think this is the person we need is beyond understanding. Oh wait, that’s it — they aren’t sane. 200,000 dead and he still has support.

re: #77 TarHellion

In a low-inflation environment who cares about the debt? it’s not like we are looking at rampant inflation due to organic or immigration growth. Yes, the number is high. But the U.S. can print as much money as it needs. We could have “cured” the debt back in 2001, but GWB decided to go for big tax cuts. And FFVCS did the same. The Fascists have ceded any and all “concern” about the debt. We will not run out of money. The only threat is if our “money” is ever devalued in the world market. Perhaps under FFVCS. Not under Biden.

But what you just said require more than a 1st grade level knowledge of macroeconomics and monetary policy, and Conservatives can’t have that. We could completely print our way out of the COVID-19 hole with little or no inflation because we would just be stabilizing not setting up a massive demand-pull situation.

Most of the country can’t scale up to macroeconomics, and they really don’t have a good grasp on what government spending vs private spending actually means. And the explanations don’t fit on a bumper sticker.

I’m not sure if it would be Astral Weeks, St. Dominic’s Preview or the woefully underrated Veedon Fleece, but there’s no question something from his late 60s-early 70s output would be on the list of the albums I’d want with me on my deathbed.

But I’ve always gotten the impression he’s kind of a nasty piece of work as a human being, so I’m somehow unsurprised by this.
