In the latest episode of the Never-Ending Presidential Tantrum: Trump aide banned from Justice after trying to get case info.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The official serving as President Donald Trump’s eyes and ears at the Justice Department has been banned from the building after trying to pressure staffers to give up sensitive information about election fraud and other matters she could relay to the White House, three people familiar with the matter tell The Associated Press.

Heidi Stirrup, an ally of top Trump adviser Stephen Miller, was quietly installed at the Justice Department as a White House liaison a few months ago. She was told within the last two weeks to vacate the building after top Justice officials learned of her efforts to collect insider information about ongoing cases and the department’s work on election fraud, the people said.

WaPo states that she was a DVS contractor, and DVS has not publicly stated either way regarding her status, nor has the 3rd party been identified. WaPo states her story about pulling a 24-hr shift at the TCF Center during election day.

I’m telling any asshole that gives me any shit that I just tested positive and start pulling my mask down as I walk toward them. So far, I haven’t got any shit for wearing a mask, but I am also only leaving about twice a month to go to the Kroger down the road. That’s it except one little weekend drive with me, Hubby and Cleo. The kid goes to work and comes home and has been to a couple friends houses, but their moms are strict about where they hang out and wearing masks. I worry about him the most because I have no doubt he’s broken the rules a few times. He comes home and hits the shower first, has to wash all his clothes in hot water, clean stuff like his steering wheel, door knobs and handles and that stuff. I take his temp every morning and evening, and we social distance at home too. He wouldn’t have to do this if there was a fucking safety net so he can afford health and dental insurance, pay for his car and insurance and his phone and not lose everything. It scares the shit out of me. So far we’re covid free, but we all know how fast that can change.

Y’all, I am stunned. Biden beat Trump on Long Island!

Republican President Donald Trump beat Democrat Joe Biden in Suffolk County by just 232 votes, while Biden won in Nassau by nearly 70,000 votes, according to final returns.

Trump, who lost the election to Biden, got 381,253 votes, or 49.4% of the vote, in Suffolk compared with 381,021 votes for Biden, or 49.37% of the vote.

The results were released Thursday after absentee ballots were counted.

In Nassau, final tallies showed Biden with 396,504 votes, or 54.11% of the total, compared with 326,716, or 44.59%, for Trump.

In the 2016 election, Trump won Suffolk County by 49,849 votes, while Democrat Hillary Clinton won in Nassau by 30,858 votes, according to the state Board of Elections.

“Once again moderate ‘swing’ suburbanites have decided who gets the keys to the White House as they have for more than a generation,” said Lawrence Levy, executive dean of Hofstra University’s National Center for Suburban Studies.

“And Long Island is reflective of what happened in suburbs around the country — a significant shift away from Trump compared to 2016 … It was about rejecting Trump.”

Who knows, maybe there’s hope for Stupidville after all. :)

I saw a different source. I don’t recall where at the moment.

I’m not sure what it would be. NY had a statute for obsenity first class. MI has something but it relates to minors (web caming to as kid?) I can’t say for sure.

I’m not really looking to be smart. I want one last really fun car while I’m young enough to get tickets from enjoying it. I probably won’t make the downtown Minneapolis to EC run in under an hour ever again, but I’d like to have a car that could do that.

One of my students has a Smart; she let me drive it around town here a couple years back and I can say it was a pretty fun car to drive - and not a problem with headroom at all, being as I’m a hair under 6’3” and she’s 6’2”, I found it surprisingly comfortable.

They definitely intentionally blocked pre-processing of mail-in ballots, but I think that was simply a side benefit of their general paranoia regarding mail-in voting in general, rather than a specifically targeted end result of the 2020 campaign.

I believe that the GOP’s legislative attempts to reduce the effectiveness of mail-in voting came from a general belief in the aforementioned “vote early, vote often” / “dead people vote Democratic” memes from the 1960’s and 1970’s, and were only validated as right-wing doctrine after Trump started revealing his “victory” strategy.
