Good.

Now….though I admit it’s perhaps not likely to happen, McConnell needs to put his boot up some asses (I’m looking at you, Ted Cruz) and tell these fuckwits there will be no further bullshit. Biden will be certified as POTUS today and that’s that.

So arrest them in the dark or there are scopes that can see at night. Doesn’t have to be a problem. If all it takes is darkness to thwart law and order in this country, we’re sunk.

And I don’t get why the NGers being sent in won’t be used to augment Capital Police to route these fuckers out of the Capitol and arrest them, other than optics; they’re not federalized, thus they are not under Title 10 (federal military and federalized NG) and are not subject to Posse Comitatus.

I can already see the Sedition Caucus insisting that, since all this shit has cut so deeply into the debate time for their objections, Congress should just go ahead and agree to their demands for a “fraud committee” to save time. Even roll in a little talk about how doing so will prevent further outbursts like today.

The very rich, like Romney, and those born into wealth, like Romney, live in a different world than you and I. They usually don’t come across the day to day issues you and I have. Sure, they will have their own personal tragedies - family members falling ill and dying - but overall the very rich lead a very safe and very comfortable life.

So when that safety and comfort goes finally away, then they get affected.

While I’m sure there are seditious symps in the Capitol Police there onsite today, I’m betting most of them aren’t, because this looks really bad for all of them, no matter how you cut it. I also don’t think Capitol Police opened the barricades, they were outnumbered and got pushed back.

What I will criticize them for is not having proper fallback positions prepped inside the building at all of the entrances, because they had to know this shit would happen.

A lot of these Republicans need to be expelled from the chamber. And some of them including Louie should be looked at for criminal charges.

Good luck with that with the lax mainstream interpretations of the 1st Amdt. (Disclaimer: I support putting Louie in a cage.)

No. The GOP has no heroes able to remove Trump from office.

Even after all this, the worst they will be is “concerned”. They may even have “strong words”. But they won’t DO anything, because they’re terrified that taking action will mean that the mob outside will be shooting at them next.

Sometimes the nuts slip through the cracks. There’s a Congresswoman elect in Illinois that was seen praising Hitler. I hadn’t heard about her but I have a friend who is from her district. She put her childhood friends and neighbors on notice who voted for her. And then you have those like Ted Cruz who pretty much all but acknowledged the outcome’s legitimacy but used some Orwellean judo to say that Democrats must support not allowing Congress to certify the results so the nutcases and opportunists in Cruz’s caucus could humor their lunatic base that believes in the stupid conspiracies about this election. Here’s a poll number for Ted. Below 50%. That’s what Trump has consistently polled but hey act like Evangelical white people are the only ones whose opinions matter, Ted, you goddamned traitor to those of us who descend from those who had to flee oppressive regimes.

I’m more angry at the Republican members of Congress (and Trump of course) who have incited this with their blatant lies about the election being stolen, than I am with the mob. Of course people who thought the election was stolen were going to do this. I pulled in the flag at sundown, as I do not have a source of illumination to afford it the proper respect. I noticed that it was stuck to itself at one end; I was puzzled, as it’s not a staticky fabric, and it doesn’t touch anything when it’s flying. I carefully pulled at the stuck end and discovered that it had frozen to itself. I wonder if some water dripped from the roof (air temperature was 34 degrees F - 1 degree C - and sunny) when the wind was low and caused the hanging fabric to freeze when the temperature dropped.

The NRA is the institutional glue that holds the entire right wing treason establishment together, all the militia terrorists, the evangelical gun churches, the Republican Crime Syndicate itself and FARA violating Russian controlled media are joined to them at the hip. The NRA building in nearby Fairfax must be placed under siege, day and night.

The guy who shot and posted the video said the group actually pushed the police, not that the police let them in:

“Group just pushed Capitol police”

You don’t actually see the police opening the “barriers” (which are not much of barriers anyway). For example, the barrier on the right was clearly removed by the rioters.

By the way, this misintepretation of the evidence will be used by the Quacks to claim it was all staged.

I just wrote Wyden and DeFazio to demand they do something to hold Trump responsible for inciting and refusing to call for an end to these seditious acts. The same with Tailgunner Ted and his sedition-loving pals in the House and Senate. I want as many of these treasonous assholes as possible to be held to account for their despicable acts against our nation. The Party of Lincoln has turned on the nation and is attempting a coup. Stop them, now.

I also mentioned that if this attack was by armed black people that there would be piles of their bodies all over D.C.
