Here’s hoping every last GOPer who voted to contest the lawful election of President Biden gets a visit from the FBI for their role in the insurrection. Acts and omissions/failures to act are actionable crimes. I’m looking at those who knew what Trump was up to and refused to stop the insurrection.

WH Counsel warned staffers that helping Trump would result in likely treason charges. There’s a bunch of lawyers who are GOPers in Congress, including Cruz. His actions to incite/support Trump are in furtherance of the insurrection. Same with Hawley who was overtly supporting the insurrectionists before they stormed the Capitol.

End their careers. Prosecute them.

That certainly initially struck me as rather unusual - but then when I thought about it a bit more, it occurred to me that Cipollone may have come to the realization, or very strong suspicion, that Trump was orchestrating this.

It’ll never happen. That’s the sad truth of it. People like McConnell, who’ve been covering Turmp’s ample six for four years, are not now suddenly going to put country before power and party. That would be a tacit admission they were complicit.

Because it’s going to require Republicans/conservatives from all over the country, both politician and citizen, to stand up and admit that this situation needs to be dealt with. It will never happen.

There’s going to be a handful of people caught on film prosecuted on watered down rioting/trespassing charges and it’ll be swept under the rug. I can’t see Biden having the fortitude or stomach to do this, since a lot of his gestalt is “Can’t we all just get along?”

Every. Single. Person. Who showed up there to overthrow our government should be thrown in a hole in Gitmo for 10 years minimum (including Trump, Cruz, Hawley, et. al.)

But it’s never, never going to happen. Because the vast majority of white Americans will refuse to accept the idea that a coup could happen, despite seeing it live on the air, and that people should be harshly punished for it.

It’ll be interesting to get answers to the quintessential questions from the bygone era of Bill Clinton, “What did he know, and when did he know it?” There are a lot of complicit motherfuckers in this administration, but the rest of them are at a minimum criminally incompetent.

That crabapple tree is definitely very popular with the birds. However, instead of pooping on the siding, the birds that sit in this tree fly into my front room window. I didn’t realize how often this occurs until I moved my home office into that room this summer…

Not just murder. Murder 1. Potential capital crime.

Any of deaths can raise the situation to felony murder for all those arrested as part of this insurrection and failed coup attempt.

In other words, if you’re busy committing one felony - say insurrection - and someone dies in the course of the crime, you can face charges relating to that death. That includes situations where you aren’t actually pulling the trigger.

MAGA hat = hate symbol

Law enforcement should aggressively profile MAGA.

White males of any age, but particularly those who appear to be over the age of 45 long beards and/or tattoos wearing MAGA caps and/or hoodies, and/or anything appears to be pro-Trump clothing; Big trucks with American/MAGA/Trump 2020 flags on them playing what seems to be country music; Said white males at fast food restaurants; said white males not wearing masks in public…

If law enforcement officers see anyone who fits this profile, they should be stopped, ID’d, frisked, and questioned.

If the public sees anyone who fits this profile, they should call the police immediately, and report possible domestic terrorists.

Help: I’m trying to find a quote I’ve seen, something along the lines that fascist toy with language while you speak the truth and that the arguments only serve their own ends and not the truth.

“It’s using emotion to circumvent reason, to overwhelm reason,” says Jason Stanley, a Yale philosopher specializing in language and author of the book “How Fascism Works.”

Trump is twice as extreme as his predecessors in the past century. That’s dangerous. (Washington Post, May 24, 2019, opinion piece by Dana Milbank, well worth the read)
