If Congress moves fast enough on impeachment, Pence will be able to serve exactly one Scaramucci as POTUS.

Rioter Who Stole Pelosi’s Podium Identified as Florida Dad

A man seen gleefully stealing what looks to be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s podium in a now infamous photo from Wednesday’s Capitol riot has been identified by the Bradenton Herald as Adam Johnson, a father of five. He traveled from Parrish, Florida, to D.C. to join a group of protesters who later stormed the Capitol to oppose a peaceful transfer of presidential power. The 36-year-old was quickly identified from a photo that went viral where he’s seen grinning at the camera. He could face felony charges for destruction of government property.

It’s one thing for a third world country to turn into an authoritarian state. It’s another when it would cause the collapse of one of the largest economies in the world.

Larry Hogan says the Federal Head of the National Guard refused to authorize deployment of Maryland Guard yesterday…

Link

“I was actually on the phone with Leader Hoyer who was pleading with us to send the guard,” Hogan said. “He was yelling across the room to Schumer and they were back and forth saying we do have the authorization and I’m saying, ‘I’m telling you we do not have the authorization.’ “
Hogan told the Washington Post that Maj. Gen. Timothy Gowen, the adjutant general of the Maryland National Guard, “was repeatedly rebuffed by the head of the National Guard at the federal level.” The Guard announced Thursday afternoon that they were sending troops now.

the arguments seem to include why the police “let them in”…obviously the security forces were in cahoots with Pelosi and Antifa.

There is some You Tube video out that is purported to show “patriots” stopping an “antifa” from causing damage.

and a couple of misidentified “infiltrators” who turned out to be neo-nazis and oddly not Antifa

and that the purpose of the raid was not to stop Congress from confirming the EC votes but rather to disrupt the brave Republicans who were trying to stop it.

And I guess the dozens of other armed and known Trump supporters just got swept up in the throes of it…

Very true, however… most of these Trumpites are the kind of people who think computers run on magic smoke.

NE-2 flipped this time, and NE-1 was the closest it’s been in many years. While NE-3 is to the right of Wyoming, a flip in NE-1 next time round would be 4 of 5 electoral votes here.

Both Omaha and Lincoln are growing cities as well.

In the state legislature, the Republican grip was weakened somewhat, and Democrats took a number of down ballot races such as school boards and city council seats.

Watch at your risk, but here is a very complete video of the shooting including minutes before and after.

In short, there were multiple security members “guarding” the door. They were covered in white powder (likely from a fire extinguisher). A rifle team showed up, behind the terrorist mob, to relieve the security members. In the few seconds of when the security members left the door, the animals started breaking through the glass and Ashli tried to enter….

Warning, it’s a bit graphic if you have never seen someone die

The entire Trump family is now persona-non-grata around the world. They are locked inside the United States. No country wants them inside their borders with their racist dictator-wanna-be baggage.

On the contrary, the world is full of authoritarians and fascists that are absolutely rock hard for the Trumps right now.

All of the vague, conspiratorially emotional shit they pull translates well internationally, and they’re already a recognizable brand: fascism is all about superficiality and the aesthetics of power, and the Trumps have done a good job honing an American version of what that lunatic running Khazakhistan does. The Trumps also have openly signaled that they operate in the favor-exchanging-between-elites system of governance favored by both monarchists—like your ME petrostates—and your modern gangster states.

Also…the Trumps represent a commercial hook embedded in the brains of millions of dumbasses that have demonstrated their willingness to be ripped off in return for valueless affirmation of their inherent superiority. Heck, they’re not even expelled from conservatism’s circle of influencers at this point.

…and barring some miracles they’re about to be a giant money laundering operation that has agents embedded in the US government.

Krupskaya speaks to the pioneers:

So, Lenin is sharpening his razor, while he himself is looking at the boy. Then Lenin finishes shaving, washes his brush, and now he is sharpening his razor again all the time glancing at the boy. Then he wipes the razor and puts it back in the case without even slashing the boy! Such a kind man was our Lenin.

Or we could all switch to the Jewish calendar. New Year’s is in the autumn, the date varies from year to year, and in leap years we have 2 February’s.

That sounds complicated.

The Discordian Calendar has cooler day names (Sweetmorn, Boomtime, Pungeday, Prickle-Prickle, Setting Orange) and month names (Chaos, Discord, Confusion, Bureaucracy, The Aftermath), along with more holidays (which are subject to local additions).

So, a Capitol Police officer was killed as a result of the insurrection.

Trump is directly responsible. The GOP is directly responsible. Cruz, Hawley, and the rest of the Trump Treasonweasel Party is responsible.

This death could have been avoided had GOP stopped Trump before this. They had the last clear chance. They refused. Those leading the Capitol Police let one of their own die because they refused to see any threat in a bunch of armed white insurrectionists planning to march on the Capitol to interrupt the process of the transfer of power between administrations.

Texas Tech would hire them as visiting professors or something. They have a long history of providing sinecure for toxic consertives, including former AG Alberto “water-board” Gonzales and ex-Congressman Kent Hance, one of the key theoreticians behind Reaganomics. As Texas Railroad Commissioner (actually oil secretary) he once announced that he was going to Vienna to represent the State of Texas at an OPEC meeting. Also, wherever they go there will be a price tag. At least for the next 4 years, unofficially, the US Government will not look kindly to anyone cooperating with them. Or at least that will be assumed and a burden most other governments and corporations will be reluctant to pay, since the Trumps in reality will have little left to offer.

US Capitol Police officer has died following pro-Trump riot (CNN)

I guess we can add “cop killer” to the list of crimes.

(CNN)A US Capitol Police officer has died from events stemming from Wednesday’s riot at the Capitol, three sources confirm to CNN, in which a mob of President Donald Trump’s supporters stormed the building to stop the counting of electoral votes that affirmed President-elect Joe Biden’s win.

The police officer is now the fifth person to die as a result of the day’s violence. One woman was shot and killed by Capitol Police as the crowd breached the building and three others suffered medical emergencies that proved fatal.

One of the many reasons why I have Apple computers.

Yeaht try doing that on one of the new ones with the hard drive soldered to the motherboard. Working at a school that deals with hundreds of macbook airs and macbook pros, the new ones are a pain in the ass to deal with. Any time there is a problem they have to swap out the entire main board. User serviceable is becoming more and more rare.

Sometimes they can even save the data for you, but since you can no longer pull the hard drive before you return it for service there is no guarantee unless you have your own backup.

The prosecutors that will indict Trump aren’t going to mess around. They will see to it that the charges stick.

I’d accept a plea deal from Trump with a public allocution followed by life in prison and restitution and civil forfeiture in lieu of a trial.

Same for Ivanka, Junior, Eric, and Jared.

Same for every other person involved in this attempted coup/insurrection.

I dunno, Eric should probably get a shorter sentence than the rest of them.

Unsurprisingly, Josh Hawley doesn’t understand that ‘Free Speech’ doesn’t mean ‘Consequence-Free Speech’.

He does, and he understands the I Amendment. He’s banking on conservative voters not knowing it.

A huge number of people can’t even name the five guarantees of the First Amendment.

This is by design of conservatives undermining public schooling every chance they get.

I would have too if he had asked a few hours ago. We did everything he asked, we stayed patient; we trusted he would never stop fighting for us. He sold everyone in DC out so fast.

He told us the election was stolen. He told us to go to DC to do something about. He told us it was going to be wild. He jazzed everyone up at a rally. He sent everyone to the capitol building. He immediately sold out his most ardent supporters without batting an eye. He then immediately hands over the keys of the empire to the globalist. He vows that he will make sure his followers are brought to justice, but not a single fucking election fraudster will.

I’m don’t believe Trump was betraying us the whole time. He fought for us the whole time, but he betrayed us pretty hard in the end.
