I’ve always loved this particular piece; the melody is one of the most beautiful in all of classical music, IMO. This is the first time I’ve heard it in a solo cello arrangement, though. It’s incredible.

Republicans can’t actually de-escalate the situation by admitting error, because their entire culture over decades has been about stoking resentment and demonizing the opposition. You can see each individual trying to gauge if there’s a way to save their branding by finding the exact level of stepping away from Trump then can do without triggering the base.

They can only demand that others de-escalate with the threat of more harm, or create whataboutist chaff.

I’ve always thought that McConnell was at least sane in survival terms, though utterly depraved otherwise. I am having doubts though. If he were sane he would be pushing with all his might to get Cheeto out the door in favor of Pence no later than Monday. Nine days with a crazy person in charge could easily be fatal.

or the classic from John Harrington (1561-1612):

In the 20th centuries there are notable examples of failed coups that lead to successful coups down the road. Most notably, the Beerhall Putsch. None dare call it treason is a correct assessment of what happens in monarchies, but it’s four centuries later it’s a trope not an accurate description. The really important thing that’s different is that “treason” used to just be about the king and his law enforcement’s reading of the concept, but in modern states the concept becomes more fractured and nuanced because there will be people who have franchise but view the intentions of the coup-maker as valid. What is happening right now is an authoritarian faction that likes the goals of the insurrection trying to keep distance from culpability, but also rehabilitate as much of the coup faction as possible…because they have a future in mind where they can again assert their authoritarian agenda and the coup faction (including their inclination toward violence and their apathy toward harming fellow citizens) has utility.

“…A seeming fortress from a distance, the Capitol contains more than 400 separate doors, entryways and ground-level windows. And police lines on all sides of the building were collapsing.

[Maxine] Waters placed an urgent call to Sund, who was at Capitol police headquarters two blocks away, two law enforcement officials said.

Protesters were already crossing the plaza. “What are you going to do about it?” Waters asked. “We’re doing the best we can,” came Sund’s reply, she said, and then the line went dead.

Waters was unsure if the call had dropped or if Sund hung up. She turned to a staffer: “That’s not a plan.”

A frantic warning from Michael Moore about more attacks: m.facebook.com

I think Moore is right about this. If Trump is still in office the morning of the 20th, his goons in the Pentagon can sabotage the military response just as they did on the 6th. The Capitol and DC police will be on their own.
On the plus side, there are more armed citizens in DC than the MAGAts realize. They should be prepared to defend their homes and neighborhoods from racist marauders. This wasn’t a factor on the 6th because the violence was confined to the Capitol. That will not be the case on the 20th. Elsewhere, armed liberals and Democrats should be prepared to engage the seditionists wherever they present a threat. There will be hordes of them. Many, but not all, law enforcement officers will be on their side. Be careful, maintain situational awareness, and maintain tight cover. DO NOT GO INTO THE STREET TO CONFRONT THEM.

What should someone who’s never shot a handgun, and last shot any firearm 30 years ago at Scout camp, do, especially when they live in the most Confederate-aligned county in their entire very-Union (or at least Pacifican) state?

Stay indoors and out of sight, pay attention to local news, contact trustworthy neighbors and find out what resources they may have. Discourage any rash action on their part. It is likely that many National Guard, and some regular, units will disobey pro-coup instructions from the Pentagon. It may be possible to contact them with information. State police will be more reliable than locals and much more reliable than Republican sheriffs. The latter should be considered part of the MAGAt forces until shown otherwise.

Another Orwell quote:
“I am well aware that it is now the fashion to deny that Socialism has anything to do with equality. In every country in the world a huge tribe of party-hacks and sleek little professors are busy ‘proving’ that Socialism means no more than a planned state-capitalism with the grab-motive left intact. But fortunately there also exists a vision of Socialism quite different from this. The thing that attracts ordinary men to Socialism and makes them willing to risk their skins for it, the ‘mystique’ of ‘Socialism, is the idea of equality; to the vast majority of people Socialism means a classless society, or it means nothing at all. And it was here that those few months in the militia were valuable to me. For the Spanish militias, while they lasted, were a sort of microcosm of a classless society. In that community where no one was on the make, where there was a shortage of everything but no privilege and no boot-licking, one got, perhaps, a crude forecast of what the opening stages of Socialism might be like. And, after all, instead of disillusioning me it deeply attracted me. The effect was to make my desire to see Socialism established much more actual than it had been before. Partly, perhaps, this was due to the good luck of being among Spaniards, who, with their innate decency and their ever-present Anarchist tinge, would make even the opening stages of Socialism tolerable if they had the chance.”

Looks like Pakistan is experiencing a nationwide power blackout:

A failure in Pakistan’s national power grid left more than 200 million people without electricity Saturday, local officials said.

The widespread blackout happened just before midnight, plunging the major cities of Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar into darkness, Energy Minister Omar Ayub said. He added that mobile and Internet services also were affected.

Ayub said the power grid failed after high transmission lines tripped, causing the frequency in the distribution system to drop suddenly from 50 to zero. Officials said it could take several hours for power to be restored.

Meanwhile, over in Brexitland, the Disunited Kingdom is finding their new fangled sovereignty a bit in a mess:

BREXIT: NORTHERN IRELAND-BRITAIN SUPPLY CHAIN AT RISK OF COLLAPSE, HAULIERS WARN

The supply chain between the North and the rest of the United Kingdom is a “boat breakdown” away from collapse as a result of the post-Brexit regulatory border, the UK’s Road Haulage Association (RHA) has warned the British government.

[…]

The new rules have left some shelves empty this week as supermarkets struggle to import fresh goods from Britain and manufacturers have reported Northern Irish-bound trucks being unable to cross the Irish Sea due to difficulties with customs declarations.

The RHA said raw material supply lines from Britain had also been restricted due to the regulatory changes and that factories had already reported serious supply chain issues, including failures to supply retail contracts.

[…]

Burnett also cautioned that the Covid-19 lockdown that will keep Northern Ireland’s hospitality sector and non-essential retailers shut for another month is “simply masking a crisis in the supply chain to food service and hospitality.”

And eventually the gambler’s fallacy that it can’t go lethally wrong, with no warning signs, is disproved.

For the last four years, the man has been beating his wife regularly, but his family and friends have been asking (read: pressuring) her to keep it quiet and hide the bruises/scars because making it public would hurt the family and he’s such a prominent figure in the community that it could cause all sorts of trouble in town.

Well in the last year, word got around about the abuse and he’s not only refused to deny it, he’s actually argued that it’s his duty as a husband to “keep her in line.” That if he can’t vent his anger, then it will hurt the community as a whole. And two months ago, the community decided enough was enough and voted to kick his ass out of office. Well, he riled up his friends over the election, told them that his wife must have gone public about the abuse, and that they needed to “fix” that. Which they did…by beating her half to death in public and only stopping when the cops escorted them away.

So, how did his family respond? They’re angry with him, but only because his friends talked about kicking their asses too for not doing enough to keep him in office. And they’re reserving most of their anger for the wife for pressing charges against him for the abuse and inciting his friends to attack her. To top it all off, they have the audacity to suggest that she’s the one at fault for all this and that the only way she can “make amends” is to let him walk away from the marriage without facing consequences.

If blacks did it, there would be morgue trucks parked all the way into Virginia to pick up the dead bodies.

When I wrote DeFazio & Wyden that evening after the insurrection had been put down, I told them that if it had been black people attacking that there would be piles of bodies all over the place. The fact that there were off-duty police among the insurrectionists is no surprise to me. White supremacists have pretty much taken over many police departments, allowing them to abuse anyone that isn’t white.

They chose to take down the American flag that flies over the Capitol and hoist the flag of the man that they have sworn loyalty to. Anyone who continues to excuse their attack on our nation needs to be named and shamed. If they are in Congress, they need to be expelled.

They’re not rejecting him or his works, they’re not suggesting that their support for him these past 4 years was a bad call on their part, and they certainly are not suggesting that he held accountable. They just think he’s an asshole for taking the anger they thought they could tap for political gain and using it to create a lynch mob that was as willing to injure or kill them as it was Dems.

And they especially think that once he leaves on the 20th, that people will forgive and forget as they have in the past and the clock will reset such that they can spin Biden as the greatest threat to the nation evah.

As we say, Americans have the memory of a gnat. Part of it may be we look forward and not back to the past, which can have some societal benefits. But in general, it means the average American is clueless about what happens outside their personal life and most don’t really care if it doesn’t impact them directly. But the coronavirus was a big impact and the major reason that Trump lost the election. And he and the GOP still don’t care. The refusal of the GOP members of Congress to wear masks during the siege was a disgrace — and placed innocent people in jeopardy. Let’s hope the nation survives this interlude with the “reality star” President and it’s not a prelude to future disasters.

I live with these people—they should be my tribe, by birthright, but I’m weird and multiculty so they just try and get me to come to parties to be the interesting guy—and they are fucking awful. It’s hard to explain how a wee bit of material success just makes the parts of their brains shut off. They can’t empathize because they have no imagination, they can’t self-examine because the flee self awarness, they cleave to petty power/control games because those don’t require thought or creativity.

Trumpism isn’t an ideology, it’s more like a subconscious attraction to the superficial and the small-spirited, treated as the height of human experience. That which can’t be owned or dominated is upsetting, so everything has to be made hollow and vacuous. If an idea demands a change of perspective, or threatens with the sublime, then it has to be butchered and its innards scooped out, leaving only a manifold to fill with more self-importance and banality.

One of the greatest myths of the last four years has been expressed in two words: “economic anxiety.” This nation is in a far worse state economically than it was four years ago, contrary to the Cult of the Magic Line (aka stock market) insisting that it’s never been better because their stock portfolios are flush. Millions are jobless, many in fields that simply are never coming back or will take years to recover. Many of them only retain homes because of moratoriums on evictions, which only further hurting the economy by leaving landlords and property management companies without income.

And yet, the party we were told doesn’t care for those suffering from “economic anxiety” just had their candidate win the presidency by the highest vote total in electoral history. Even with four years of whining that Dems weren’t doing enough to reach out to “the working class,” they pulled in a larger majority of the population than the supposed “man of the working class.”

Republicans who want to run as the “intellectual Trump” or the “normal Trump” are completely missing the point.

Trump ran on being the anti-intellectual, anti-normal candidate. The candidate who spoke for every random idiot on the street who doesn’t know anything.

He also ran as the anti-politician, the “successful businessman” who was everything any experienced politician was not.

The Sunday political shows will probably trot out all Republicans, with their newly-minted Big Lie talking point straight from GOP Talking Points, Inc. “It’s too divisive to impeach the President; Democrats are trying to divide the nation.”

TV pundits will nod sagely. All will agree, this sad situation is the fault of Democrats.

When a Republican fuques up, you must have Republicans on to explain why that happened. When a Democrat fuques up, you must have a Republican on to explain why that happened.

See, this is why I could never be a journalist, because I’d have video cued up of whichever Repub gets booked of them saying only a year ago to impeachment “let the voters decide” followed by a clip of them in the last two months bellowing about “legal votes” and “return the vote to the legislatures,” before asking them to explain why they wanted the voters to “decide” a year ago and now don’t think the voters can be trusted. And how that distrust of the voters, of arguing that their votes cannot possibly be valid because Trump lost, is not divisive but impeaching a man who whipped up a lynch mob for the purpose of overturning the will of the voters is.

I’m confident that the dissonance about Limbaugh and Both Sides posture of the media somehow led us to the failed coup on 1-6 but don’t have the energy to write a Tetris locked tome linking it all together. It will take a Marshall Plan to ensure this sickness is cured otherwise this will rebound in 5-10 years and could be worse.

Personally, considering that some of those assaulted on Wednesday included journalists, (including cases of equipment being smashed by angry “patriots”), I’m not so sure that they will uniformly go along with the Repub “We need to heal and impeachment will only make things worse!” talking point. I certainly expect Chuck Todd to look for a BSAB path because he hasn’t the gonads to confront a Repub in any meaningful way, but I think we might find ourselves surprised by the reception to such talking points by the Usual Suspects later this morning.

After the 20th, every single Q shill should be banned for propagating a continual psyop. It has long been known now. Though I hope to eat my words, every day we are inundated with LARPers which lull people into a false sense of hope, which was most likely always the objective of the operation.

-Honora 2 points 1 hour ago +4 / -2
As much as I hope (and genuinely pray) I’m wrong about this, I have to admit that I think you’re right. Before what happened on the 6th, I was damn near banned from here for implying we should be critical of VP Traitor Pence and to question “The Plan”, and at least have a logical skepticism. I had posted something wondering just what if Q was a continued op to give people false hope and discourage people from actually attending rallies and community gatherings to lobby for their country and communities. I wasn’t trying to be a Q doomer necessarily, but I’ve been noticing more and more mental gymnastics when some events haven’t matched the Q drops in a decently explainable way. All of that said though, a lot of the crap that’s been happening lately has coincided with some of the drops in a spooky way.

It’s the usual bit: Anybody who engaged in violent/destructive acts is really “Antifa/BLM” in disguise, and the fact that nobody around them tried to stop them and in many cases encouraged them just means that those people were also “A/BLM”. Oh, and the fact that everybody arrested so far has long history of fanatical devotion to “Q”? Just further proof that the “conspiracy” goes deep.

The House is poised on Monday to introduce an article of impeachment against President Donald Trump for incitement of insurrection, according to Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu, for Trump’s role in violent riot at the US Capitol on Wednesday, when a mob breached the building while seeking to overturn the 2020 presidential election results confirming President-elect Joe Biden as president.

If the House of Representatives initiates the proceedings on Monday, it’ll mark the second time Trump will face an impeachment process during his term as president — and make him the first president to be impeached twice.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Friday sent a memo to Senate Republicans outlining how a second Trump trial in the Senate would proceed, saying the Senate would most likely not start till Jan. 19, when the upper chamber goes back in session.

A little reminder for everyone: if you know of anybody who showed up to the riots, talked about going, or materially supported them, who has a security clearance, time to drop a dime on them to the FBI.

As the guy says, the government historically really never gave a shit about anti-government activities (because most of the activities of the Republican Party in the last forty years count as this, frankly). However, if your wife grew up in Canada and her family’s still there, expect a grilling from the clearance investigators. The clearance system in the US is fucked up.

Well, if there’s one thing the chattering class isn’t going to do, it’s concede that moderately wealthy white people that like their op-ed pages can be and often are pig-fucking stupid and have a neither-fun-nor-safe interests in power and control over other people.

Less eloquently I would say you are describing one tier of an unspoken caste system here in the US.

I am much like you. I have found some neighbors who are like minded and we often discuss this.

My friend is a surgeon and his with is Puerto Rico. Her family is middle class with aspirations of making it to “the next level”. The quotes are mine to emphasize the next unspoken caste level.

People taste a little power in the upper middle class and it goes to their heads. I can feel the pull and I can see the stupid first hand like you. It is sickening how weak minded people can be.

On a side note, I am a white middle aged married with 4 teenagers veteran. The kids and I wanted to put a Biden sign in the yard. My wife refused because she was concerned about retribution. I told her if someone from my demographic doesn’t feel safe putting up a sign who does? She is Jewish so I lost that argument on historical grounds I won’t discuss.

I did put a up a big fat American flag the day Joe was announced the winner.

Sigh… How it can be.

bbc.co.uk

Thing is, over here in Europe most countries are still basically ethnostates. I personally believe it’s the same reason that the US could pass a New Deal last century: the benefits go to people that look like themselves. Once other ethnic groups start getting benefits, the pushback begins.

Sweden has Somali and Syrian minorities, basically from refugees. You started to see the kind of resistance to benefits, and to more immigration, once that got on people’s radar. There have been new laws limiting benefits for certain classes of immigrants, and a marked decrease in the popular approval for equal benefits. Denmark’s been really shocking about this if you’re not familiar with European politics.

So, I’ve been telling Europeans, tactfully, not to feel superior to the United States over benefit and minority issues, because the US is way ahead of them when it comes to ethnic diversity. Take these American struggles and crises as warnings for what Europe will increasingly face with a more and more diverse population, not a smug reminder of their own greater wisdom.

Greets and saluts from the failed state of the US. Trump’s failed coup continues to get a defense from GOPers who are craven treasonweasels who think that removing Trump from power is more dangerous than letting him stay in power as a dictator. That’s what this means - the rule of law is shredded and we are no longer a government governed by law, but those who wield power solely to enrich/empower themselves to protect them from the consequences of a never ending crime spree.

Trump sought to overthrow the government. The insurrectionists were incited by Trump and his allies. The security at the Capitol was compromised by Trump’s allies, and the GOP knew and continued covering for Trump crimes and backed his insanely fact free allegations of a stolen election with zero evidence.

Meanwhile, his propagandists at Fox and right wing echo chamber keep spewing nonsense about how antifa was responsible for all this, even as every law enforcement agency looking at the insurrection has found zero evidence of antifa -this was all Trumpists.

Trumpists waving flags of insurrection: Trump MAGA flags, Confederate flags (from the last insurrectionists who sought to overthrow the government), Gadsen flags, and blue lives matter flags.

Insurrectionists tore down the US flag and put up Trump’s MAGA flag. That’s what these insurrectionists are hoping for - to replace the US with a MAGA fascist cult.

And they don’t give a shit about lives of law enforcement officers either. They murdered a cop and injured more than 60 in storming the Capitol. Trump refuses to lower the flag on the WH to half mast to memorialize the death of that Capitol Police officer. Weird. He’s the one who loves having cops and soldiers as a backdrop, but when his actions lead to an insurrection that killed a cop, he’s suddenly ignoring the lives of the people he risked.

Pence still waffles over acting, because he’s a treasonweasel too. He was a target of these insurrectionists because he was counting confirm the election results. Trump threw Pence to the wolves, and Pence’s response is to … waffle and dither all while Trump and his goon squad get more desperate.

At the same time, GOPers are desperate to avoid an impeachment fight because it means they’d all be on the record - they don’t want a vote. Fuck them. Resign if you don’t want to vote against Trump’s impeachment and removal. You backed an insurrectionist and criminal. You refused to remove him the last time he engaged in high crimes, and your excuse that impeachment would divide the country is so much bulkshit. All those claims about how 74 million would lose their say.

Yeah, about that… 81 million voted for Biden - who won in a landslide. It was the biggest loss by an incumbent since 1932. It was a thorough repudiation. The Democrats have won back the House, Senate, and the WH with Trump at the head of the GOP.

And impeachment is essential to the rule of law and to prevent further crimes from occurring on the way out the door. Trump is dangerously unhinged and intent on destroying the nation if he can’t stay in power. We were warning of this long ago. Heck, Trump warned of this back in 2017 when he stated he wouldn’t accept an election he lost.

He’s a despot and a sociopath, and he has blood on his hands (not even getting into the soaring death toll from his disastrous covid19 response). The truly pathetic thing is had Trump managed the pandemic in a responsible manner, the odds are he would have won reelection. Instead, he wrecked the economy, killed more than 370,000+ Americans, and launched a coup to remain in power beyond 1/20.

I was heartened by the BLM protests in Europe, though. These were showing solidarity with the American victims of police violence, but also protested their nations’ own unacknowledged pasts (like Belgium and the Congo, England and the slave trade). The monuments to racism are going down over here, too.

I’m fuqued then. My best hope if that balloon went up here would get in my car and flee.

On the other hand, this is a pretty quiet place. I really don’t see an insurrection starting in a village of 124.

“You have the nerve to be holding a blue lives matter flag, and you are out there fucking us up,” he told one group of protestors he encountered inside the Capitol. “[One guy] pulled out his badge and he said, ‘we’re doing this for you.’ Another guy had his badge. So I was like, ‘well, you gotta be kidding.’”

[…]

Another officer, a newer recruit, echoed these sentiments, saying that where he was on the steps to the rotunda on the east side of the Capitol, he was engaged in hand-to-hand battles trying to fight the attackers off. But he said they were outnumbered 10 to one, and described extraordinary scenes in which protesters holding Blue Lives Matter flags launched themselves at police officers.

“We were telling them to back up and get away and stop, and they’re telling us, they are on our side, and they’re doing this for us, and they’re saying this as I’m getting punched in my face by one of them … That happened to a lot of us. We were getting pepper sprayed in the face by those protesters, I’m not going to even call them protestors, by those domestic terrorists,” said the officer.

It was always conservative here. When we moved here I knew that. But the schools had more of the resources my son needed at the time than any other area around Atlanta. We got a fixer upper house for a good price and made the leap. And then 9/11 happened a few short years later. For a couple of weeks or so after we were united as a community. And then the blame and accusations started from Republicans, led by Ralph Reed and Newt. Liberal Hunting License bumper stickers started appearing on pick up trucks and it was the first time outside of a parade I saw(and still see)flags flying from a pickup truck bed. Neighbors started withdrawing from us(that was related to us not being churchgoers as much as anything liberal about us) and my son wasn’t really welcome there to play anymore. They never said it outright, it was just like actual walls went up.

While we were one of the blue counties in the metro Atlanta area, that’s only at the federal level. There are a lot of right wing loons in state and local government and more than a couple who think the Confederate flag should fly above or replace the American flag. This shit is generational and very hard to overcome.

You love to see it:

The PGA of America will strip Donald Trump of the 2022 PGA Championship, which is scheduled to be held at Trump National Bedminster golf club in New Jersey.

In a blistering column that says the golf world must sever all ties with Trump, Golfweek’s Eamon Lynch said the PGA has been debating for two years the need to move the major championship and, once Trump is out of office, will announce the tournament will be played elsewhere:

“The odds that ‘22′s PGA Championship will happen as scheduled in New Jersey are about as good as the chances of you or I winning it. Seth Waugh, the PGA of America’s CEO, was a banker and has an alert eye for high-risk exposure. He knows that Trumpism is likely to be an equally incendiary force in the ‘22 midterm elections and that any affiliation is poisonous. Waugh will be forced to move the event and face down a small but vocal faction of his membership who remain true believers. Moving its major from Trump National has been debated internally at the PGA for more than two years, but executives have been reluctant to antagonize a famously vindictive man who controls the Internal Revenue Service. Such concerns melt away in 10 days, if not sooner.”

Lynch, like Washington Post columnist Barry Svrluga, says professional golf — including some of its biggest celebrities, like Tiger Woods, Nancy Lopez, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Annika Sorenstam — has angered many fans by cozying up to Trump. But, Lynch says, “the events of January 6 that left five people dead ought to make him a pariah everywhere. Including in golf.”

Hewitt removing all doubt that he’s an insurrectionist supporter who is hoping for a more competent attempt next time.

Refusing to promptly prosecute those involved emboldens the next attempt. Trump’s failed coup will be followed by more unless you promptly and thoroughly go after those who plotted and carried out the insurrection.

So far, we’ve seen FBI arrest low level thugs. No one yet charged in the murder of the Capitol Police officer. No ringleaders.

What is the FBI waiting for? 1/20 to avoid Trump interfering with pardons, or are they corrupted/compromised by Trump to protect Trump and his coconspirators in the plot.

Finland. We kicked red army butt to the tune of 4-5 to 1 kill ratio. We have the most prolific sniper in world history. We lost territory equivalent to AK and most of the pacific coast in terms of % compared to US territory. We had the Germans as allies until the Moscow peace of 1944 stipulated we run them out by a set date (which the soviets chose because they thought we wouldn’t be able to).
As part of the peace, we have certain limitations, like how border patrol is organized (apparently to make invasion easier), certain military restrictions, such as we can’t conscript females or have subs in our navy. Or make any move to try to get justice for Soviet war crimes during the Continuation war (we had to keep them secret for 50 years). As non-negotiable terms.

And the successor to the Soviet Union, the Russian Federation, has in no uncertain terms made it clear that it still holds us to the non-negotiable terms of the peace.

Can’t believe I forgot my favorite GOP treason, hinterland FARA violations. I expect the feds to dig into that too, now that Cheeto’s departure is imminent.

My answer to those that tell me “It’s heritage” is:

You know what was heritage of us northerners during that time. If you saw that flag flying at a house or someone carrying it, you killed the people there and burnt the house down. Yea heritage.

That flag never flew over any government building in the Confederacy, that would have been the Stars and Bars. The Confederate Flag that we all know is the battle standard.

It means you are there to fight.

From the pen of Aaron Sorkin/lips of Isaac Jaffe on Sports Night:

In the history of the South, there’s much to celebrate. And that flag is a desecration of all of it. It’s a banner of hatred and separatism. It’s a banner of ignorance and violence and a war that pitted brother against brother, and to ask young black men and women, young Jewish men and women, Asians, Native Americans, to ask Americans to walk beneath its shadow is a humiliation of irreducible proportions. And we all know it…

Yup. It’s not a mistake to get people thinking that he’s at the Alamo - which is in San Antonio. The name is what he’s trying to play on - the romantic notion that it was a stand against Mexico and led to Texas independence from Mexico.

He’s using that romantic notion to further his own insurrection against the US government.

The shoes, yeah but, that godawful pink crinkled velvet background & green vomit back of background is enough to bring on seizures in vulnerable people.

The guy from GA is the guy who paid for a digital QAnon billboard not far from my house. It was there for close to a year before it finally disappeared. Yeah, we have a LONG journey before GA can be considered anything less than a slightly lighter shade of red. There are a lot of these people around here. A lot.

WTF?

“The president should be very careful over the next ten days,” Blunt said. “Now my personal view is that the president touched the hot stove on Wednesday and is unlikely to touch it again.”

These asshole make me want to scream.

Also, a heads up. Some rightio activists have taken to posting illegal forms of pornography in threads which displease them. One page to report such occurrences is:

It’s the Susan Collins approach. Furrowed brow and hope he doesn’t do anything bad.

We know Trump will try again. He’s a murderous sociopath. He’s just learned that his sycophantic suckup GOP will cover up his crimes, even armed insurrection and a failed coup.

He just did the equivalent of murdering someone on Fifth Avenue and getting away with it - a cop no less.

Okay, people. Time is short and we have a mission.

We have eleven days to put together a band named the Leftist Overloads in time for the inauguration.

Play any instruments or sing?

I can play tambourine, does that help? Or cowbell.

Should think that would be easily traceable.

You get this in an e-mail from a brainwashed relative and you wish that psychiatric hospitals were still open…
