Many men are with their wives in supermarkets and they don’t have a clue other people are in the store with them. They never went shopping. They stand next to the cart next to the wife and block the fucking aisle. With a mask below their nose. Trying to figure out what they are looking at. And I’m not the only one who picks up either a can in my cart and drops it or lifts up the cart and bangs it.

Sure, the writing system takes a lot of memorization, but those 8000+ characters have their plus sides too (inherent meaning, useful combinations, and single pronunciation). 2+ billion people get by fine with them.
As for the Japanese writing system, you’re shit out of luck.

One of the tricky things for both Japanese and non-native learners alike is dealing with the various honorifics and the ways of combining verbs to achieve honorific (or its opposite, the term for which—謙譲語—can’t remember in English); while very systematic, as you say, it is still complicated. New hires for major companies often go through language and culture bootcamp.
