Texas Republican Representative Dan Crenshaw is not one of Joe Biden’s biggest fans. In January, he suggested that the administration was lying when it reported that Donald Trump had left no cohesive plan in place to get vaccines out in a timely and effective manner. He claimed that the 100 million vaccines in 100 days that the Biden Administration was promising would have been done as well under Trump.

“If the Biden Administration wants to impress us,” he said, “You know what? Double the goal. Say 200 million vaccines in 100 days. I will be impressed. I’ll go on the record right now and say that I will be impressed if you can do that.”

Laura Loomer Contemplates Getting a ‘Nazi-Style Holocaust Tattoo’ to Symbolize Her ‘Digital Extermination’ on Social Media

On Monday morning, the Supreme Court declined to hear a lawsuit brought by anti-Islam extremist Laura Loomer against Twitter, Google, Apple, and Facebook after being banned from their social media platforms, claiming they had violated her First Amendment rights.

On Tuesday, the far-right provocateur and her conspiracy theorist attorney Larry Klayman appeared on the “Crowdsourcing the Truth” YouTube program to discuss the case. During the program, Loomer announced that she is contemplating having the docket number of her case tattooed on her wrist, akin to how the Nazis tattooed Jews imprisoned in concentration camps during World War II, asserting that she is a victim of “digital extermination.”

By April 30th at noon, we have to get 200 million doses. Our World in Data says 171 million doses already given as of 2 days ago. Even if no doses have been given out since then, we need to get 29 million doses over the next 22 days.

That’s about 1.3 million doses a day.

And that’s why Trump lawyered up with an actual honest-to-goodness credible criminal defense lawyer.

Shit is getting real for him, and he’s scared.

I’d love to see this lawyer’s non-negotiable list of demands before engaging Trump as a client.

At least

1) Payment in advance

2) You will never lie to me.

3) You will not put out public statements relating to your cases.

have to be on that list, or this lawyer is being stupid.

A similar thing was done in some of India’s solar panel deployments. Though instead of bike paths, they were covering irrigation canals. Not only do you get solar panels not taking space away from Agricultural land, but evaporation from irrigation canals reduced. And algal blooms are reduced, and solar panels are more efficient from the cooling effect of water.

They are pricier but worth it.

Cousin is a criminal defense attorney; repped some major-level dealers down in north San Diego County. Before taking a case, he’d routinely require $300K+ retainers. I once asked him why.

“Well, one because they can afford it. And two, you don’t want to be chasing these guys around trying to get them to pay you, ‘cause they won’t. And three, if you do somehow manage to get some leverage to get them to pay you, they’ll work the numbers and figure out if it might just be cheaper to off you.”

So it’s literally the craziest horseshit on that list.

And another one of those things where people who claim to be Biblical literalists, claim something about “some people” going back to pre-flood times and then magically forget that in their cinematic universe, only people on the Ark survived the flood.

Like the idiots who claim dark skinned people have the Mark of Cain. Really? So how did they all survive that whole flood thing you insist really happened?

Considering everything else on that list I’d rather not try to google it, so can anyone tell me WTF is “dual seedline”? I’ve never heard of this before.

hi

“Dual Seed” was a Gnostic holding that Eve mated with the Serpent in the Garden of Eden, creating Cain and his decedents. It first appeared in the II Century and was rejected as heresy.

It was picked up again by the Primitive Baptist Church in the South in the XVIII Century and then promoted amongst many Protestant churches. In the XX Century, it was picked up by early televangelists and promoted widely amongst Protestants.

Those beliefs crossed over to the Christian Identity movement, where that white supremacist religion explicitly claims that the decedents of Cain are really Jews. Evangelicals and CI churches both promote “two seed” today, though Evangelicals don’t explicitly say “Jews” (wink).

Come for the atheism, stay for the lessons of Christianity. (Protestants are often very underinformed about the history of Christianity.)

i know cars arent the best example
nevertheless

lets forget licensing, registration and law enforcement of the rules.

i can voluntarily take advanced driver training, learn evasive manouvers, anticipate situations etc. this might reduce my car ownership and driving insurance rates.

when i drive a car or sit as a passenger there is a sort of agreement and i accept the risks that certain things could happen. out of my control.

someone else could accidentally, negligently, or even on purpose damage my vehicle, or injure or kill me.

even if i did nothing wrong, everything right, including using my advanced training.

even as a pedestrian not driving at the time, I or my estate can also sue if im hit. and there could be criminal penalties as well.

there is no equivalent societal agreement.

someone else owns a gun. fine.
that should not put me at risk of being deliberately shot, let alone accidentally.
not in my own home, not through walls, at school, work, or anywhere else.

i should not have to get my own gun to protect myself against any joker i come in contact with in tennessee who now may have a gun.

i should not have to take advanced training to protect myself so he can ‘exercise’ his 2A rights.
because nothing i do will protect me against his carelessness or recklessness, let alone some crazy’s deliberate attempt to randomly kill me.

there should be zero risk to me with you exercising your 2A rights.
i should not need a gun to be in my own home.
i should not need a gun to venture out in public.

and i shouldnt have to do anything to protect myself from you mishandling your 2A rights.

Why do we even need a transportation secretary anyways?

en.wikipedia.org

The secretary of transportation oversees the U.S. Department of Transportation, which has over 55,000 employees and thirteen agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Railroad Administration, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Uh, yeah, sounds useful. and important.

Oddly enough, NTSB is not under their umbrella, it’s a whole independent thing. Just in case the FAA or the highway dept or the railroad dept is partly at fault for some unfortunate event.
