‘No More Crazy People’: Jan. 6 Committee Releases New Hannity Texts

Politics • Views: 18,704

CNN’s Brian Stelter seems to think revealing Hannity’s attempts to control the uncontrollable Trump-thing to his audience (while saying nothing about it on air) would cause some of them to feel betrayed, but this shows how little he understands the right wing mentality. This won’t cause a single Fox News fan to rethink anything, if they even hear about it all — because they are, after all, Fox News watchers, devoid of logic or reason, totally committed to the cult.

CNN’s Brian Stelter reacts to new texts from Fox host Sean Hannity sent to former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany in the aftermath of the January 6th insurrection. #CNN #News

Evangelical Tish Harrison Warren, a priest in the Anglican Church In North America (ACNA, we talked about them yesterday), had an op-ed published in the NYTimes talking about how the existence of abortion incentivizes abortion and that’s oh so very bad.

As you can imagine, I’m fairly livid about this, because Evangelical culture has no fucking room to talk.

Oh, and then there was *this*. I read the original tweet while standing in line at CVS to get my latest prescription and thought to myself, “oh, someone’s going to pop up with ‘consciences seared with a hot iron’” and…

So of course I let the asshat have it.

A question about the Scott Quiner case — the unvaccinated Minnesota man seriously ill with Covid who was transferred to a Texas hospital (where he just died) when the Minnesota hospital was going to take him off the ventilator. It seems strange that the hospital wanted to take this action unless they believed the patient was already brain dead, or am I wrong about this?

They may have just known he wasn’t going to make it and the equipment could better be used on another patient.

The family claimed the following:

On Tuesday, Quiner was communicating with people by blinking, nodding and squeezing their hands, Holsten added.

“He is recovering, though has a long road ahead,” she said in the email, which did not specify which hospital was caring for him or which medications he had been prescribed.

The hospital could not comment, obviously, because of HIPAA. I suspect that this was either all wishful thinking on the part of the family or he went downhill quickly after being moved.

Quickly glancing through their website, I did not see anything about stopping further contact.

And from their website, they do seem to have some sort of tech automation dude-bro agenda.

I guess that if I were really interested in stirring up trouble, I would send a letter to the Pa Secretary of State, the PUC, and my elected State Representative’s offices with a very polite inquiry on how to stop further contacts by Inspire and its agents. (CC’ing each of them on all letters.)

“You should be mad that you want to fuck this thing that barely registers as human-like less” is just one hell of a statement.

Like the most popular pundit on television has just slid by us all the statement that a green spheroid has been rendered less aestheticially pleasing because it’s not in heels, which if it was just about his personal fetish…well I guess you should own your truth, king…but we’re discovering a new uncanny valley of outrage: fabricating a sense of loss (again…with regard an visual abomination designed to sell candy in 30-second plug segments) just to experience some kind of transient victimization.

That’s not the reason for the outrage at animated candy characters; they are trying to distract from the real news: the continuing pandemic fueled by the unvaccinated, the fake electors, the subpoenas, the NY case against Trump, etc. Their base never hears any serious discussion of important issues. So they must keep them entertained.

One comment concerning Tucker’s fondness for Russia: there has long been a deep isolationist trend in this nation and especially the Republican Party which was reanimated by Ron Paul years ago. There is a lot to criticize of our worldwide interference in other nations but these are people like Pat Buchanan who would have happily stood by while Hitler conquered all of Europe. Our brother mindlessly repeats their philosophy that we need a strong military to stop others from invading us, but who cares about the rest of the world — it’s their problem, not ours.

Apparently the “doctors” at this march are also selling “alternative cures”, gee what a surprise. The msnbc on the ground reporter called RFK a liar, so that is good. Del Bigtree is about to step up to the podium. I hate these people, their hatred of autism has fucked up a lot for people on the spectrum in how the public views autistic people. And I wonder how many of them actually have autistic kids that are being hurt and abused because they are too fucking ignorant to bother to learn what autism is and isn’t. I have no patience for this shit. And it hasn’t changed in the 25 yrs since my son was first diagnosed with a “developmental disorder” which was later changed to Asperger’s and then to ASD once he got older and could communicate better. We’ve been through too much shit over this as a family and my son as an individual. Makes me want to slap people with a shovel.

And I come back to the same point as always: AUTISTIC PEOPLE AREN’T BROKEN. We’re just DIFFERENT. 90% of the programmers in this country are autistic, or maybe even higher, because our brains intuitively understand computers and programming logic. And for the anti-vaxxer community to treat us as broken people because we’re not like them is, frankly, insulting.

He’s an R.
It was ignored and instead a fiction was created to attract crossover votes

There’s a woman running for prosecutor up here in the DFW area that has ads out. She is the child of “legal immigrants” as she puts it, and would most definitely be treated as Latina by the very people she’s trying to get to elect her.

Her father was killed when she was young, by someone who was never caught, but I cannot really tell if the person was an immigrant or if she was just implying it. She’s using that to run in a platform of strong borders.

Her candidacy definitely points out the issues of assuming that all Latinos are Democrats. Democrats will have to do a lot of work towards appealing to the Latino community, but Republicans will be hurting themselves by blocking Latinos from voting.

And she needs to understand that plenty of people will think that she’s Latina, no matter what she says.

(CNN)The House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection has been having conversations with former Attorney General William Barr, the committee’s chairman said Sunday.

… “We’ve talked to Department of Defense individuals. We are concerned that our military was part of this big lie on promoting that the election was false.”

The Mississippi Democrat continued, “So, if you are using the military, to potentially seize these voting machines, even though it’s a discussion, the public needs to know, we’ve never had that before.”

If it is the clean energy company, it may be permitted to do this due to some form of deregulation of the method of power transmission. I guess that if I were not interested, I would ask the door to door folks for information on how to give the company “No Further Contact” directions.

IIRC, electricity in eastern PA is a two-fold thing. Distribution, which PECO does, and generation, which various companies due and then sell to customers via PECO on a contract. The contracts come up every year and so you get a period of time where the various generation companies send people door-to-door trying to sell the customers on changing their generation contract (and costs) over to their company.

So for a few weeks or month per year I get bombarded by mails from the various companies, especially a few that sell themselves as “green energy” and the occasional door-to-door person (who is somewhat violating the management companies rules regarding solicitation.) A few of the latter have been slimeballs who claim to be from PECO and ask to look at my electricity bill statements. (Which would show who I currently contract power from - and I suspect would allow them to pull some sort of bait and switch stunt.)*

* - Back in the days when I had a land-line and there was competition the basic line fees and for the long distance rights by former Baby Bells I got switched without permission more than once. Pain in the ass to get straightened out and I was very annoyed when A few times I got billed by multiple companies for the same phone line for the same month.
