VIDEO: Mike Pence Says: “Trump Is Wrong, I Had No Right to Overturn the Election”

You can turn this off after you hear Mike Pence’s money shot, before the CNN commentators start commentating, because that’s the only part you really need to hear.

I did want to note that I’ve seen some headlines blaring that Pence got a round of applause for saying “Trump is wrong,” but that’s not correct at all. That particular line was greeted with dead silence. The Federalist Society crowd clapped when he said, “Kamala Harris will have no right to overturn the election when we beat them in 2024.” In other words, a typical GOP red meat applause line.

My cynical prediction is that he’ll be back sucking up to Trump again in a few days, but I have to wonder: since the RNC censured Liz Cheney today for questioning the Dear Leader, will they also censure Mike Pence?

What political future? Lest we forget, he was damaged goods even before he signed on with the Trump train. Indiana was set to vote him out as Governor because of all the shit he pulled while he was there. His career was over until Trump took him on, and then he somehow managed to borrow a couple of vertebrae from J. Danforth Quayle, of all people, and in so doing put a full spread of torpedoes through what was left.

Adios, Mike! If you thought they were after you on 1/6, guess how they feel about you today?

You have correctly corrected the God Emperor and you are now dog-shit beneath their feet.

Take your pension and enter witness protection. Also, don’t ever contact your brother, the Convenience Store magnate, ever again.

Good luck, bucko! Take care of Mother!

The wingnut grift machine is in full meltdown mode over this:

Sure looks like a fake grass roots trucker revolt with promises of tons of wingnut money just blew up in their faces. Now there will be a bunch of pissed off truckers who threw away their careers based upon promised millions by the wingnut grift machine…..

sux to be them

re: #3 austin_blue

You almost want to see him have a near miss with a pissed off magat just so you can watch half of the currently elected Republicans defend the attack as justifiable because he wasn’t sufficiently loyal to Trump. McConnell and Graham would say that it wasn’t how they prefer to resolve conflicts. MTG and the sedition caucus would praise it as a good trial run.

Amazing how much good propaganda Russia gets out of a Go Fund Me account to help anti-vaxers, isn’t it? Nine million bucks to generate this much chaos?

That’s an extraordinary return on shareholder value!

Steve Kornacki is doing his statistics/map thing… NY, Chi and LA combined have 0 (that’s right ZERO) people on the team. But some towns with less than 500 people, they’ve got competitors there. One cross-country skier is from a town in Vermont with 156 people, there’s more people on Team USA than in his town.

Speaking of Convoys Creating Chaos, here’s the latest out of Coutts, Alberta, which is across the US/CA border from the northern terminus of I-15 in Montana:

Lanes to the U.S. border near Coutts, Alta., opened and closed intermittently Friday as an ongoing protest continued to affect traffic in the area.

Early Friday afternoon, protesters moved in to block southbound traffic on Highway 4 leading to the border. One protester at the blockade told CBC News that the latest move was a result of not enough progress being made on the group’s goal to lift pandemic mandates.

RCMP previously confirmed the blockade on one side of the highway. For a while, traffic was being stopped at Milk River, Alta.

On Thursday, protesters had said they planned to vacate the border and move north to Edmonton, but that night they reversed the decision and stayed put.

cbc.ca

Right below that are these two articles:

Alberta Indigenous leaders speak up against approach to Coutts border crossing protest and blockade cbc.ca
Alberta ranchers worried about border protest rattling cattle sector cbc.ca

It’s my understanding that the Coutts/Montana crossing is one of the busiest between the US and Canada. I can see business interests getting super unhappy about their stuff being delayed by these idiots.

ETA: I was going to say that perhaps these grifters have moved over to givesendgo dot com, but the site appears down. While the connection is going through Cloudflare, the site itself actually appears to be down. Good. (Remember this outfit collected money for Kyle Rittenhouse, the murderer of two men and acquitted.)

As soon as those guys realize they aren’t going to be paid for their “moral conviction protest” they’ll scamper off…….probably happening now.

The GOP is a racist terrorist organization  Feb 4, 2022 • 6:36:11pm

Exclusive: Newly obtained records show Trump and Gym Jordan spoke at length on morning of January 6

(CNN)The House select committee investigating the Capitol insurrection is now in possession of White House records that provide new details about a phone call Donald Trump made to Republican Rep. Jim Jordan on January 6, 2021 — as the investigation drills down on the former President’s communications that day and questions have long swirled around calls between him and lawmakers.

Two sources who have reviewed the call records tell CNN that Trump spoke on the phone at the White House residence with Jordan for 10 minutes on the morning of January 6. That afternoon, Jordan took to the House floor to object to the certification of President Joe Biden’s Electoral College win, and pro-Trump supporters attacked the US Capitol.

A key focus of the committee’s investigation has been on the runup to the insurrection and the myriad ways Trump and his allies, including those in Congress, tried to overturn the election results. The new details about the morning phone call come as the committee is debating whether to move forward with a subpoena for Jordan after he refused to voluntarily appear for an interview.

Since Jordan acknowledged last summer that he spoke to Trump on the phone that day, the Ohio Republican and Trump loyalist has waived off questions about it or been inconsistent in his answers.

Marsha Blackburn suggests American athletes toy with going to jail in China

The Chinese Communist Party has said they’re conducting extreme censorship, that they have to approve everything that is going to go out about China, about the games. And to be kowtowing to this? For Pelosi to say what she did when she has supported BLM in the US, but then she is saying, ‘Oh, don’t you dare speak out anything against the Chinese Communist Party’? This is unseemly. It is uncalled-for.

I don’t know if any of you know Deltarune. It’s a PC based game whose format is designed to look like a 90s PC game. Stupendium, a guy who has made some money and a following off of making songs and videos about video games, has made his latest video about Spamton G Spamton (imagine if the Shamwow guy were given 10 Redbulls). It’s chaotic like the character, and it’s like the creator has been working his way up to this.

It’s worth watching, but it’s best enjoyed by not thinking about it the first time:

I’ve watched a number of videos by this guy where he analyzes the song and video he watching. Standard reaction stuff. But his normal technique of stopping and starting fails him with “This is America” and about 5.5 minutes in, he backs the video up. I also cannot believe this guy hadn’t seen it before 8 days ago, but he hadn’t.

Kevin McCarthy and his House Republican leadership team have called on Newt Gingrich to advise them on their midterm election strategy, The Post’s Jeff Stein and Laura Meckler reported recently.

Man of No Principles hires Man of Low Character: What could possibly go wrong?

But the choice is perfect, in a way unintended by the upwardly failing McCarthy. Gingrich, leader of the Republican Revolution of 1994, bears a singular responsibility for precipitating the ruin of the American political system. So it’s appropriate that he is returning for what might be American democracy’s final act.

Opinion: Newt Gingrich started us on the road to ruin. Now, he’s back to finish the job. (WaPo)
