I’m waiting at the paint store. The girlfriend of one of the employees did some One Piece post-it-note art:

Six years ago today. One of my favorite Jim Wright posts. “….a man and a woman shouted madly and capered about like cannibals afflicted with late stage Kuru.” This reminds me of my own description of a fundy protester “dancing in the street like a deranged organ grinder’s monkey,” only better. Weird street gyration seems to be a fundy protest thing, possibly derived from their holy roller style of worship.

This comment came up on FB yesterday, I will just leave it here as an example of what must be a widespread opinion in certain circles:

Honestly what Alex said wasn’t nice and it wasn’t compassionate BUT with freedom of speech he should be allowed to say it without being maliciously prosecuted by the MSM/DNC/and the government. I guess this once again shows the 2 tiered justice system being perpetrated by the leftist in our country. Plenty of mean things are said in this world, many wrong or crazy things are said in this world and in our Universities BUT the left give the teachers and professors a free speech pass of tenure to get away with it. Alex Jones says something those on the left disagree with and he must pay pay pay. I sure hope we see reciprocity when Trump sues the networks for all the malicious lies they’ve told the people because if he’s rewarded on the same scale, they will owe Trump tens of billions of dollars.

So much to unpack here…

The Senate parliamentarian has given the green light to a $740 billion budget reconciliation bill that will reform the tax code, tackle climate change and lower drug prices, putting the Senate on track to begin voting on the bill Saturday afternoon,” The Hill reports.

“Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced Saturday that the bill is on track to pass this weekend, now that the parliamentarian, Elizabeth McDonough, has ruled that its provisions comply with the budgetary rules enabling it to circumvent a GOP filibuster.

Though not circumvent

Its that the filibuster does not apply

It’s as though the entire history of defamation, libel, and slander did not exist. It shows once again why the Repugs will lose the conflict they are hell bent on instigating: Their power base is stupid, their ignorance matched only by their arrogance.

ooh lemme. Here’s two:

Not the government

And he was allowed to say it

But
His choice to use words caused damages to others

Rights come with responsibilities and consequences.

Because only leftists believe that the parents did not stage Sandy Hook.

In their mind, Sandy Hook is just the excuse to go after him. Just like they also think the left is going after Trump because they disagree with him, not because he’s committed crimes.

Former President Donald Trump slammed the Democratic-led climate, health, and tax bill, arguing that Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky was “taken for a ride” by Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Insider reports.

Said Trump: “I told the old broken crow, Mitch McConnell, that this was going to happen. I said, ‘It’s going to happen to you, Mitch. It’s going to happen to you.’”

Iow, old fat guy yelled at his tee vee

Ps he’s clueless what’s in the bill or how any of this process works/worked

Not only lower, the rate of decline is accelerating. AAA Texas Gas Prices 3.590 today, 3.620 yesterday.
True Blue Webb County (67% Biden) is down to 3.298. Repug ruled Roberts County (97% Trump) remains highest at 4.659. Correlation, causation or coincidence? We know that grifting and gouging are the Repug way, so that might be the case here.

Regular cash price at one of the two stations in HMB this morning was $4.99. And I saw diesel for just under $6 the other day…so things are looking up.

I can see the nefarious Joe Biden and his henchpeople, Buttigieg, Granholm and Harris, plotting the manipulation of gasoline prices.

Biden: “Ok, since we have such complete, precise control of pricing, why don’t we use that to reward our followers and punish the GOP patriots?”

Granholm: “That is an excellent idea, Mr. President.”

Biden: “Ok, Jennifer, you and Pete make the necesary arrangements, county by county. Gouge the shit out of those humble, god-fearing conservatives and reward our fanatical gay/Muslim/trans mobs.”

Buttigieg: “Will do, boss. Btw, it will also lower costs for the immigrant convoys and our antifa mobile raiding columns. Lord Soros will be grateful.”

Biden: “Good thinking, Pete. No wonder they call you the smart one.”

“…The Russian forces occupied Bucha and Irpin for a month. Most of the dead lay wherever the killings had occurred. A resident of Yablunska Street told me that, when he stepped out of his yard on March 8th, he saw a road strewn with bodies and heard music. It was coming from cell phones ringing in the pockets of the dead. The bodies of the eight men executed near the office building remained in the courtyard. The Russians who occupied the building threw trash out the windows, which landed on top of the corpses.”

“…For the survivors, the thought that the killings are entirely gratuitous is unbearable. Svitlana and Serhii, at the sanatorium, wondered if the Russian soldiers somehow had it in for Konstantin, and shot Oleksandr to eliminate a murder witness. Ludmila surmised that Valeriy, while on his phone call, had scared a Russian soldier who was looting their house. Iryna Abramova thought that the three soldiers had killed her husband to avenge the losses they had suffered on Vokzalna Street. But there is a simpler explanation: this is how Russia fights wars.”

………
“…Russian atrocities in Ukraine—their ubiquity, the speed and apparent ease with which they are committed—present the world with the same problem: the Russian troops seem to believe that this is just how war works. The challenge facing prosecutors and investigators is to break the spatial and temporal bubble that has long shielded Russia, and to end what Cherkasov called “a chain of crimes and a chain of impunity.”

……..

He had a great line in his Daily Show interview — as evidence that the placement of transportation routes was specifically, deliberately designed to separate communities, to exclude Those People, he said “that’s why in this country we have the expression, ‘wrong side of the tracks.’ Other countries don’t have that.”

This was amazingly obvious with the gigantic Marsha Sharp Freeway project in Lubbock in the 00s. It passes east to west just north of the Texas Tech campus and basically lops off the northern 20% of the city. East of the campus, this just happens to include most of the Hispanic majority neighborhoods. West of the campus it veers to the southwest and separates the wealthiest neighborhoods from the peasants beyond.

For all you train nerds, a good overview of the goatscrew that is the general state European international rail. There are a few exceptions, like Thalys (Paris-Brussels-Amsterdam) and Eurostar (London-Paris or Brussels-Amsterdam), but if you actually want to go more than a country away it’s often a nightmare.

This really, really has to be fixed, because it means that unless you’re crazy or super phobic of flying, you’re flying, and these short flights are the worst polluting flights.

Where the hell would they find more than 1,400 drag queens

NYC and SF. Just show them what sort of apartment you can get in Kentucky for half what they’re paying for a mattress on the floor of a closet in Brooklyn, and they’re there.

Also, Kentucky Derby hats. Drag queens would LOVE those hats.
