Disturbing New Info: Material on Foreign Nation’s Nuclear Capabilities Seized at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago

Politics • Views: 18,375

Material on foreign nation’s nuclear capabilities seized at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. (Gift link, no paywall.)

A document describing a foreign government’s military defenses, including its nuclear capabilities, was found by FBI agents who searched former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and private club last month, according to people familiar with the matter, underscoring concerns among U.S. intelligence officials about classified material stashed in the Florida property.

Some of the seized documents detail top-secret U.S. operations so closely guarded that many senior national security officials are kept in the dark about them. Only the president, some members of his Cabinet or a near-Cabinet-level official could authorize other government officials to know details of these special-access programs, according to people familiar with the search, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive details of an ongoing investigation.

They should take all the documents from Mar-a-lago and rank them by relative dollar value. Finding the imaginary highest bidder for each would be quite educational.

So this is the kind of stuff that Judge Cannon thinks needs to be “carefully reviewed” for “executive ass-buffing” and “attorney-idiot privilege”.

Yes I totally stole that

The 2 billion may have been for revealing to Prince Bonesaw those members of the ruling class who were not fans of his, so he could launch a pre-emptive attack to remove them.

One guess: The data is on the Israeli nuclear weapons program, which is extremely secretive and difficult to penetrate, making the information very valuable to Israel’s enemies if we happen to have it.
In particular, there is a dearth of actual information on the deployment of Israeli Jericho II and III nuclear armed missiles. Conventional wisdom has it that they are deployed in caves near the town of Zechariah. However, this is based solely on commercial satellite image analysis from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. I suspect something else entirely but this is based on educated guesswork and could well be wrong.
One very popular speculation is that missiles are deployed on submarines. This is impossible because of the known dimensions of both the missile and the submarines. Another is that they are air launched from modified 747s. This is possible and a 747 could carry two or perhaps three missiles over a short distance. It would take a hell of a lot of work and unconcealable testing to make the mods though. For that matter, is also about as hard to hide a squadron of 747s as it is to hide an SSB, though.

No surprise Cruz said he will vote against a bill to codify same-sex marriage protections before the midterm elections

-On an episode of his podcast Tuesday, Cruz said the bill would be an attack on religious liberties.

So “freedom of religion” means the right of religions, like those Cruz approves of, to impose prohibitions on the rest of us

How can the House be in such a delicate balance?

No, it’s not all about gerrymandering. While that has been a thing for sure, we’re looking at an entire nation not being able to recognize that the GOP is now so corrupted by Trump that it can not govern.

There has been a retrograde motion in American politics that past 40 years. The roots lay deep in religion and bigotry, but the mechanics of how the GOP became a neo-fascist enabling political party is down to the simple fact that money matters.

Yes, gerrymandering is a thing.

But we need to remember this: gerrymandering can only happen if the people of a state already elected the legislature and governor who do the gerrymandering.

In other words, gerrymandering is not imposed upon a state by some alien super-power. Gerrymandering is, and this is the sad part, a reflection of the state of that state already.

A lot of people were asleep for so long that we’re fighting an uphill battle. Not that we can win, but it would have been easier if people had been paying attention rather than thinking “It can’t happen here.”

Cannon is a traitor to our democracy, as are almost all members of the Federalist Society and almost all current members of the Republican Party. They are all working to undermine the rule of law, install a white supremacist theocracy, and guarantee that the next Republican president will be an autocrat with no limits on their power or term of service.
