A bus bombing in Afghanistan has killed at least 15 people.

Only two people on the bus survived the explosion, which destroyed the bridge and left the vehicle a mangled hulk.

“When the explosion occurred, I heard cries. Then I lost consciousness,” said driver Ahmad Zia, 26. “When I woke up, I saw myself on the hospital bed.”

A 12-year-old boy, Naimatullah, also survived and his injuries were not life-threatening. The boy’s father and uncle died at the scene.

“I was with my two children and we heard this loud noise. I ran away from it but then we heard people screaming, we went to help,” said Toori Ali, an Afghan nomad living in a nearby camp. “It is the worst thing I have ever seen,” he said, describing a horrific site of blasted body parts scattered around the wreck.
