More Reuters Arab Propaganda

More nauseating propaganda from Reuters’ Arab writers (Wafa Amr and Shahdi al-Kashif) today, as the Palestinians whine that unless Israel lives up to its “obligations,” Abu Mazen may be in trouble with the Palestinian “parliament:” Palestinians Say Abbas’s Success Hinges on Israel.

Palestinian parliamentarian Saeb Erekat said the future of Abbas, better known as Abu Mazen, after his first visit to Washington depended on Israel’s fulfillment of its commitments as specified in the peace plan.

Legislators had threatened a confidence vote if Abbas failed to convince Israel to pull out from most of the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip and if thousands of Palestinians were not released from Israeli jails. The “road map” also calls on Israel to freeze Jewish settlement construction on occupied land.

“I don’t think Abu Mazen has a problem with the Palestinian Legislative Council or the Palestinian people,” Erekat told Reuters. “His problem is with Israel’s lack of implementation of the peace road map.”

Notice how Reuters is still trying to imply that the prisoner release is part of the “road map,” by saying that the road map “also calls on Israel” to freeze settlements. They keep rephrasing their spin with each new article, after being caught several times in a bald-faced lie that the release was mandated by the road map. It’s quite amazing to watch the machinations.

Let’s just ignore the simple fact that the Palestinians have fulfilled not one single obligation on their side of the “road map,” and have even stated outright that they will not disarm and dismantle the terror gangs—the most important condition. Once again, Reuters is disgusting.
