Radical Islamic Voter Drive
Radical Islamic front group MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council) has mutated into something called the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation, and is launching a campaign to register millions of Muslims in America and mobilize them to vote in the 2004 elections: Muslim-American Group to Mobilize Voters. (Hat tip: Doctor Bean.)
“Campaign V.I.P: Voting is Power” is aimed at registering some 2.5 million Muslim-Americans, said Mahdi Bray, the group’s executive director. Mosque surveys estimate 750,000 Muslim-Americans are currently registered, he said on the eve of the campaign’s start.
“Many, when they come to this country, tend to become insular,” Bray said. “We’re trying to get people out in the communities and active in the civic process. We want them in parent-teacher associations, rotary clubs, public service organizations.”
He said there are 7 million Muslim-Americans.
Once again we see Mahdi Bray attempting to promote the vastly inflated figure of “7 million” Muslims; realistic estimates put the number at more like 3 million.
Mahdi Bray is well-known at LGF; at last year’s anti-war rallies at the National Mall, he stood on stage and cheered as CAIR representative “Dr.” Ghazi Khaksan announced, “I bring to you salaams and greetings from the Mujahadeen at CAIR.” Steven Emerson’s book American Jihad has the following information about Bray, giving good reason to be concerned about the agenda he and his Saudi Wahhabi backers will push in this voter registration drive:
On December 22, 2000, MPAC’s Mahdi Bray organized a rally in Lafayette Park outside the White House to celebrate a “Worldwide Day for Jerusalem.” In Arabic, the crowd responsively chanted with the emcee, “Khaybar, Khaybar oh Jews, the Army of Muhammad is coming for you!” Posters calling for “Death to Israel” and equating the Star of David with the Nazi swastika were openly displayed and anti-Semitic literature calling for the destruction of the Jews and Israel was distributed. Members of the crowd burned the Israeli flag while marching from the White House to the State Department.
Bray spoke at this rally, along with Imam Mohammed al-Asi, former director of the Islamic Education Center in Potomac, Maryland, who exhorted the crowd to violence in the name of Islam. Al-Asi said, “Now, all our khatibs (speakers), our imams, our public speakers, should be concentrating on militarizing the Muslim public. This is not a time to make a speaking issue out of this … Muslims have to familiarize themselves with every means possible … Rhetoric is not going to liberate Al Quds and Al Aqsa. Only carrying arms will do this task. And it’s not going to be someone else who is going to carry arms for you and for me. It is you and me who are going to have to carry these arms.”
Notice that the rally described above occurred before the 9/11 attacks, when Bray and the MSA and MPAC and CAIR were much more open and unguarded about their hatred. They’ve learned to conceal their true faces a little better now.
