March on Washington Dishonors King
The 40th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s March on Washington is taking place today at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC; watch live on C-SPAN.
This year it has been hijacked by the Nation of Islam and other radical Muslim and pro-Palestinian groups. I just watched James Zogby tell one outrageous lie after another, followed by Muslim American Society head Mahdi Bray, who called President Bush “the little Pharaoh.”
Martin Luther King was very pro-Israel, and in my opinion his memory is being dishonored by this display of pro-terrorist groups and terror apologists. He wouldn’t have wanted to be associated with this. It’s sad.
One bright note, however: as they panned across the crowd, it was obvious that very few people have turned out for the event. At least half of the seats set up in front of the Lincoln Memorial were empty.
UPDATE: Unsurprisingly, the Associated Press report on today’s event contains not one word about the many radical Islamic and pro-Palestinian groups that were present: King’s ‘I Have a Dream’ Speech Celebrated.
