Wednesday’s Al Jazeera television show, ‘The Opposite Direction,’ moderated by Dr. Faysal Al-Qassem, featured guests Jonathan Schanzer of the Washington Institute For Near East Policy and French author Theirry Meyssan, who wrote the book ‘The Appalling Fraud’ claiming that the U.S. Government carried out the September 11 attacks. A poll conducted at the beginning of the show found that 74 percent of viewers believed Meyssan. By the end of the show, the number rose to 87 percent. (Al Jazeera TV, 9/10/03)
