Yesterday the Commerce Department announced an amazing 7.2% economic growth estimate for the third quarter of 2003.

Today the Grim Harbinger of the Loony Left springs to the attack, making sure no one feels good about this—and spinning furiously to make sure no one is tempted to give any credit to the man who haunts Krugman’s every waking hour, the icon of his obsessive hatred: A Big Quarter.

Still, it’s possible that we really have reached a turning point. If so, does it validate the Bush economic program? Well, no.
