An Israeli soldier has admitted shooting British ISM tool Tom Hurndall, back in April. (Hat tip: Alouette.)

Hurndall, a photographer, was in Rafah volunteering for the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), a pro-Palestinian activist group.

He was shot while pushing children out of the line of IDF fire, witnesses said.

Hurndall was shot in the back of his neck, and is in a London hospital, where he has been pronounced clinically dead.

“At first, the soldier claimed he returned fire at a person armed with a gun, but after an intensive investigation by the Military Police in Southern Command, the soldier admitted to firing near the civilian who was unarmed as a deterrent measure,” the statement said.

The Southern Command Military Court extended the soldier’s remand.

Adam Shapiro’s wife is already trying to cash in on this PR victory for her terror-enabling organization, by suggesting that this case is just one of many more:

ISM co-founder Huwaida Arraf said she is glad the truth is finally emerging.

“It is a little bit relieving,” she said. “I hope it leads to more investigations.”

Arraf said initial statements regarding the shooting were outrageous. “Every day we are witnessing the shooting of innocent civilians,” she added.

But really, I think this shows two things: 1) Israel does investigate incidents like this, and 2) the fact that more incidents like this don’t happen, in a war zone, as Israel deals with untrained agitators who are not a part of any legitimate organization thrusting themselves into dangerous situations and acting stupid, testifies to the essential decency of the Israelis.
