Iran Threatens Israel

Iranian defense minister Ali Shamkhani warned Israel today against attacking Iran’s secret nuclear program: Iran warns Israel against attacking its facilities.

“I completely rule out that Israel would dare direct any military strike at any Iranian facilities,” Ali Shamkhani said.

“But if Israel one day commits such military folly against Iran, I can promise you that (Prime Minister) Ariel Sharon, assuming he stays alive, will appear on television screens and announce that he regrets this folly. … He will suffer and scream out in pain,” Shamkhani said.

Shamkhani was speaking to reporters at the end of his two-day official visit to Lebanon.

And not one reporter asked him, “Will you be personally responsible for torturing Prime Minister Sharon, sir?”

It’s always amazing to me how media reports the most outrageous bloodthirsty comments from these goons as if they are the measured words of dignified statesmen.
