US synagogue welcomes Muslims seeking a place to pray

re: #4 sagehen

What time of day are Muslims’ Friday prayers? Doesn’t this conflict with the synagogue’s regular Shabbat service?

If it’s a bigger synagogue, they may have multiple places where services can be held. The place down the street from my parents isn’t a BIG shul, but they’ve got a small downstairs chapel, a main sanctuary, and a multi-use auditorium with a mobile ark that is also used for some services. They may have scheduled around, or they may just have set it up so that the mosque can use spaces that aren’t being used for erev Shabbos services.
