Complaining that the media doesn’t mention Israel’s history of welcoming refugees when it reports on alleged immigrant abuses is like saying nobody can point out the U.S.’s troubling history on race relations without also mentioning that it was the world’s first modern democracy.

And no that is not a fair comparison. It is like calling the USA a non-democracy ie a dictatorship without pointing out that it is a democracy.

OR stating that the US immigration policy as based on only allowing white people to immigrate without pointing out the long history of welcoming refugees of all races.
