The inference here is the silly notion that some of the right wing gun nuts are apparently don’t give much thought to the fact that if they do decide to partake in some kind of armed insurrection, their opposition can and WILL shoot back.

Some of them act like God fearing Republicans are the only ones who have the right to own guns.

Sorry, misunderstood you. You are exactly right, too.
I’m not going to advocate that Democrats and liberals arm themselves in self-defense, at least not yet, but it has probably occurred to quite a few people to do so.
The wingnuts especially take it for granted that combat experienced veterans will side with them. They could not be more wrong.
