This kerfluffle has nothing to do with respect for the Office of the President of the United States. I wouldn’t interrupt a goddamned high schooler’s random class talk in this manner.

It’s not about the office of the Other. It’s the fact that the Other is an ‘Other’. If Obama weren’t an ‘Other’, we wouldn’t be talking about this.
