Gotta love how for all of Russia’s blusterous behavior about the West daring to interfere in Syria, they’re the ones doing it most… hypocrisy at its best (or worst, depending on how you view it).
Here’s a very plausible scenario: what might happen when (and yes, note that I say when, not if) the Assad regime falls and the Syrian opposition tries to take control of Tartus (i’m guessing it’ll be last after the other two ports of influence, Latakia and Baniyas)? Does anyone else think that the Russian troops, all alone in what would become a pretty hostile country, would hesitate to shoot at approaching Syrians?
I, for one, think not.
