As usual, it’s the little guy who gets screwed. Marvel/Disney needs to go after the factories in China churning out these kippa, but that’s too much trouble. So, nail the poor schmo trying to make a buck (or whatever) to try to dry up demand.

From what I understand the good knock-offs are made by the same factories that make the official merchandise. They’re actually part of the same run, the factories get the specifications for the products and make a bunch of extras to sell on the side.
