I have to agree with aiglebot on this one. Someone who makes a deranged movie that clearly depicts Copts being persecuted claims to be an Israeli with Jewish financial backers. Don’t the journalists he’s telling this to have some responsibility to do a minimum of fact checking before publishing as fact that he is Israeli etc.? Doesn’t it stand to reason that the journalists took this guy at his word because it reenforced their own prejudices about Jews/Israelis?
