By the way, I’ve read Leonard Zeskind’s book Blood and Politics: The History of the White Nationalist Movement from the Margins to the Mainstream. It’s an excellent look at the way that white power organizations intentionally organize to affect politics in the US, and provides a good explanation of how so many nativists have been able to wield power inside the GOP for so long.

He provides an important reminder that white nationalists are not all face-tattooed assholes drinking pabst blue ribbon, but lawyers, doctors, and professors as well. Racism is not a class phenomenon.
