It’s hard to explain but (and Jimmah, forgive me here) but Scotland is kind of religious place and experience). It really does reach inside you.

I’m not idealizing Scotland (enough problems for two nations to deal with) but there is a dignity that supersedes the merely ‘nationalist’ sentiment.

The saying goes ‘There will always be an England’- and that is true.

No less true is the idea ‘There will always be a Scotland’.
