Laura Ingraham: Did “BHO” Push Out Petraeus to Keep Him Silent About Benghazi?

And… they’re off!
Wingnuts • Views: 35,477

You know how all the conservative pundits are writing columns about the right’s denial of reality, and how the Republican Party needs to shake off the kooks and conspiracy nuts?

Now watch as the entire right wing universe goes wacky about David Petraeus’s resignation, in unison, screaming “BENGHAZI BENGHAZI BENGHAZI!”

For example, here are the immediate reactions tweeted by Fox News commentator Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin’s Twitchy.com, and Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch:

“Poor judgment”

A bit of surprising news today: David Petraeus Resigns From CIA.

3:02PM EST November 9. 2012 - NBC reported Friday that CIA director David Petraeus has resigned from the CIA, citing an extramarital affair.

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell said the resignation was submitted in a letter dated Friday and was accepted by the White House.

In a letter, Petraeus noted that he had been married for 37 years and had exercised “extremely poor judgment’ in conducting an extramarital affair.

#Breitbart.com EXCLUSIVE BOMBSHELL: Romney Lost

As commenters spew racism and conspiracy theories
Wingnuts • Views: 28,046

As the right wing recriminations get louder and more strident, one of the big stories in Wingnut Land today is the Romney campaign’s absolutely pitiful “get out the vote” effort they dubbed “ORCA.” At the ridiculous fake news site Breitbart.com, hack Joel Pollak (who, last week, was busy churning out one deceptive article after another about how Romney was destined to win) has one of their “exclusives” that isn’t exclusive at all: Exclusive - Inside Orca: How the Romney Campaign Suppressed Its Own Vote.

Before the election, there was much fear-mongering on the Democratic side about the Republicans’ supposed plans to suppress turnout among Obama voters. After the election, GOP strategist Karl Rove accused the Obama campaign of ‘suppressing the vote’ by running a negative campaign against Romney that kept voters at home.

The truth is much worse. There was, in fact, massive suppression of the Republican vote—by the Romney campaign, through the diversion of nearly 40,000 volunteers to a failing computer program.

There was no Plan B; there was only confusion, and silence.

You think maybe having their noses rubbed in the failure of Mitt Romney’s tech staff will lead to changes in how they mislead their readers with noxious hate propaganda?

Not gonna happen. This spate of introspection will last another few days, then they’ll be back to spewing hatred at Obama and pandering to the extreme right.

In fact, the Breitbart audience is already doing it — Joel Pollak is a little behind the curve.

Their NOT so much stupid as they are LAZY…They voted for Obama because he be da Santa Claus early for Christmas.

But for these kids, the party will be over before too long and that is where stupid comes into the picture.

There is no cure for stupid!

[…]

Hey, that was just the half of it. They were bused in from Chicago to vote in Wisconsin and had no idea they were in Wisconsin. They just got on the bus because Obama told them to. Then they voted illegally because Obama told them to. Then they went home because Obama told them to. Yeah, now THAT is Obama’s brand of “Americanism” !

[…]

I agree— except there is a cure for stupid.

Reality. Let reality come down hard and let them reap the consequences of their actions.

I feel no sympathy and will lift no finger for those who put us on this path. I used to work on charity efforts and donate to causes to help others— but I am done now. I work for me and my family, and to hell with the rest.

[…]

This election was stolen. hacked. This website/app was hacked. It worked a few days before because we tested it.
We are dealing with criminals - a gang of criminals in the Obama regime.
trust me. More fun and games to come. we have not seen anything yet

[…]

They blame Whites for all their self-inflicted misery. I agree they will pay for it in spades.

On and on it goes, and there are quite a few deleted comments that were apparently too openly racist for Breitbart.com.

How the IRS’s Nonprofit Division Got So Dysfunctional - ProPublica
The IRS division responsible for flagging Tea Party groups has long been an agency afterthought, beset by mismanagement, financial constraints and an unwillingness to spell out just what it expects from social welfare nonprofits, former officials and experts say. The controversy that erupted in the past week, leading to the ousting of the acting Internal Revenue Service commissioner, an investigation by the FBI, ...

Your Weekly Peggy Noonan Three Martini Column
We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they're seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration's credibility deeply, ...

4 Things We Should Remember When Arguing About Politics
Political discourse in America has reached levels of douchebaggery previously only theorized about but never observed, like conversational dark matter. We're in a whole new world of hating people based solely on their opinions on a few key issues, and since this is unexplored territory, our conversations about politics are usually only a couple notches beyond the "hold your breath until the other ...
