Michael Oren will be the new Israeli Ambassador - thast why I got the book.
Its an eye-opener, especially in regard to what he calls the context of the 1967 war.
I could not believe, reading this, how nothing at all has changed in the arguments of the Arab countries.
Nor could I believe the attitude of the diplomats at Foggy Bottom - yep, if not for Truman, they would ahve prevented the founding of Israel …
This analysis gives me hope for Israel, ebcause obviously Michael Oren knows the set-up only too well …
Get the book - oh, and the descriptions of the actual battles are excellent, too!
