The National Snow and Ice Data Center is tasked with measuring sea ice extent. Their website for sea ice data is : nsidc.org

Looking at their graph one can see that this year’s Arctic sea ice extent is currently below the 1979-2000 average.

Since this year’s minimum sea ice has grown quickly, but not significantly more so than last year.

Proof that Dear Leader is healing the world.

Funny how the Earth cooled and the glaciers advanced once Alpha Gore’s yap stopped spewing all that hot, greenhouse gas.

But of course Crepuscular is right. Dear Leader is healing Gaia for the Worlds Children. Every victim, sing along:

We’re gonna spread happiness
We’re gonna spread freedom
Obama’s gonna change it
Obama’s gonna lead ‘em

We’re gonna change it
And rearrange it
We’re gonna change the world.

The ice is still below the long term average so what is the big deal? This is the type of story that proponents of AGW can point to as being biased and misleading. I think AGW is a sham, but this story doesn’t help.
