9 People Visited Austin Emergency Room 2,678 Times in 6 Years

“Eight of the nine patients have drug abuse problems, seven were diagnosed with mental health issues and three were homeless. Five are women whose average age is 40, and four are men whose average age is 50, the report said, the Austin American-Statesman reported Wednesday.”
/Almost three MILLION dollars to “treat” NINE fine upstanding citizens, who manage a visit to the ER an average of 50 trips per year, each (4 times a month). Put another way, the hospital could count on seeing, on average, at least one of these folks every day.
The article doesn’t say whether any of the patients are illegal aliens, but since the location is Texas and the facts are filtered by AP, who’d be surprised?
