A must read.

Sunday MSNBC tried to top Algores movie by claiming that seas would rise 23 feet and apparently cover the entire statue of liberty. I believe it was called something like "how the earth will end."

I read somewhere over the weekend the next step in the drive to convince the public that global warming is real. I may have the exact numbers from the article off, but follow along with me... The claim is now that we humans have contributed around 52 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Once this reaches 100 billion tons then the planet is doomed. With our current rate of "pollution" we have about 50 years left until we reach that point.

This is perfect. It removes the argument that the planet is actually cooling. It removes the argument that the ice is not melting and the seas are not rising. All we have left is the ability to accept any regulation the left deems necessary to 'save the planet'.

I personally always liked the argument that if the problem was that the planet was getting too warm than how come our brilliant leaders never came out and told us what the ideal temp should be at all times? And if we reached that temp do all the regulations go away?

Look for this argument to appear more frequently soon now that so many of their claims are proving to be false.

I thought that it was interesting that "fostering images of shaggy-haired liberals, economic sacrifice and complex scientific disputes" turns people off... Check out the attempt to reshape thedebate by controlling the language at Seeking to Save the Planet, With a Thesaurus
