The atmospheric greenhouse eect, an idea that many authors trace back to the traditional works of Fourier (1824), Tyndall (1861), and Arrhenius (1896), and which
is still supported in global climatology, essentially describes a ctitious mechanism, in which a planetary atmosphere acts as a heat pump driven by an environment that is
radiatively interacting with but radiatively equilibrated to the atmospheric system.

According to the second law of thermodynamics such a planetary machine can never exist.

Can anyone here tell the physicist what the second law of thermodynamics is? Once you have done that, and you understand what it is, you will see why this article is complete horse shit.

Thermodynamics is BASIC physics. It has been well established for over 150 years. We all study it in depth. Do you really, honestly, think that somehow the entire scientific community missed something basic about Thermo and that you guys have just “discovered” something obvious that the whole scientific community missed?

Let me ask this a different way. Thermo is cannon. Do you really think that if there were a credible violation that the whole scientific community would still be going on about AGW?

Again, learn the thermo for yourself and you will see why this is garbage.

Greetings Ludwig! Hope all’s well and your projects are going smoothly.

I thought this was appropriate because it relates to your heat pump argument and my retort of the planet needing external solar energy to drive the pumps. It seems the pumps slow down as solar energy decreases.

Do you think arxiv.org would mislead us on purpose about such an important issue? They seem pretty legit to me.
