An innovative technique developed by Prof. Noam Eliaz of Tel Aviv University’s Materials and Nanotechnologies Program can vastly improve the ability of people who have undergone complicated joint replacement surgeries to better walk, run and ultimately avoid rejection of orthopedic and even dental implants implants.
The technique involves an electrochemical process for coating metal implants which vastly improves their functionality, longevity and integration into the body.
