The World Cup Translated Into American
Because the big one is coming up here pretty soon (I’ll be watching it on a giant screen at Bonnaroo in Tennessee next week), I figured I would post this fun article by a friend which does a pretty good job explaining the different teams at the World Cup and what it all means in “American” terms. It’s pretty informative and spot on for people who might be big sports fans here in the US, and don’t follow soccer at all, yet might be thinking of tuning in to mayhem that’s about to take place in South Africa. Hopefully some people will at least watch the US and the group C games.
Anyway, if you’re interested in the World Cup this time around, but don’t know much about the teams or the history behind them or the game itself, I’d say give this a look, it might give you a better perspective.
