Man convicted in Obama sticker rage incident
NASHVILLE - A 70-year-old Nashville man has been convicted of drunken driving for ramming his sport utility vehicle into the back of a car displaying an Obama/Biden bumper sticker.
At the request of prosecutors, other charges were dismissed Tuesday against Harry K. Weisiger, a retired worker for a construction company.
Police said he made obscene gestures and pointed at the sticker before he smashed into the car several times in March. No one was hurt.
He was sentenced to probation.
Charges dismissed were leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, reckless endangerment and violation of the implied consent law.
Geezers gone wild!!
Reactions from the Fever Swamp:
I’ll chip in for his legal defense.
And what’s the charge? Not killing the occupant(s)?
LOL! I feel his pain. I have to battle with myself each and every time I see a zero sticker. Fortunately, they are becoming scarce.
