My husband is a fisherman. There are many fringe benefits to his hobby. One day he was at a lagoon getting shrimp for bait and ended up with a small California two-spot octopus. He brought him home to me and our tanks.

What an amazing creature. They are very very smart (as Paul the World Cup Pulpo has shown)

Here are photos I took. Amazing thing is the camera’s lens looked to “Octi” like an eye and he would really react to it. The tank was on our front porch and I would just hang out there for hours watching him and taking photos.

One day I came home from work & he wasn’t moving (we had him probably 4 months) We buried him in my Octopus’s garden in the shade. I was very sad, but looking back, it was a wonderful experience.
