YouTube - Noam Chomsky Compares Right-Wing Media to Nazi Germany
Yeah, I know it’s Noam, but in this case I suspect he’s right.

No he is wrong, BUT he does prove that people on the left can say the most outrageous things and not be called on it.
For me Noam is no less the racist than Stacy McCain or anyone of the right wing assholes.

If anyone wants to bash Chomsky, a number of things come to mind. Racism isn't one of them.
Personally, I think the analogy he draws in the video goes way too far, but he describes very well the image of liberals painted by Limbaugh & Co.

let me know if you define antisemitism as racism.
I do. (and yes I know he is Jewish....doesn't mean he can't be anti semite)
Like many of the left he regularly Demonizes Israel, uses the most outrageous Double Standards, and often De-legitimizes the state of Israel.
I know the theme lately is that only the right can be racist... but the anti semetism on the left....has been well documented for years. And Noam, and his supporters often lead the charge.

I never thought I'd see the day when Noam Chomsky gets five updings at LGF.

I think a lot of people have forgotten what democracy means. Democracy doesn't mean censoring people who you might disagree with. It also doesn't mean being surprised that people will have opposing views. There will always be a diversity of opinions and that includes Noam Chomsky. If you want a world were there are no Noam Chomskies, even though I might disagree with him on the Palestine-Israel issue, perhaps you should go off and start a nation like the Soviet Union were opposing view are discouraged.

I just don't get that kind of reasoning. If someone linked a video of Ron Paul (whom I loathe) making a good speech about how the war on drugs, or farm subsidies, or whatever, is a failed policy, I would have no problem updinging it.

No I haven't forgotten what a democracy is. This is not a democracy. It's Charles' website. What the hell does democracy have to do with it. Sheesh.
re: #6 Nimed
Right. Like a link to, say, Ann Coulter would be welcomed no matter what she said.
I remain surprised that a man who said the following would get five, no make that six, updings at LGF. “I see no anti-Semitic implications in denial of the existence of gas chambers, or even denial of the holocaust. Nor would there be anti-Semitic implications, per se, in the claim that the holocaust (whether one believes it took place or not) is being exploited, viciously so, by apologists for Israeli repression and violence.”
And at the same link:
So here is Chomsky talking about Nazi Germany again. But this time, you think he got it right.
