Interview with lead developer of Park 51 project (aka Ground Zero Mosque)
Earlier this week, I was privileged to be able to submit ten questions to Sharif el-Gamal, lead developer of the Park 51 project (a community center in lower Manhattan, which will also include as part of the project the Cordoba House as well as a mosque to serve the NY muslim community).
Sharif has kindly responded in amazing detail and makes a very persuasive case for the project, despite my questions being rather pointed and aggressive.
It’s a great read and a real inspiration. I am perhaps naive in hoping it will change minds; but I really think it will.
