Yeah. This must be a part of Michael Steele’s new strategy of attracting younger voters and the “Hip Hop generation.” Invite racebaiter and pathological liar Andrew Breitbart to an RNC event.

Steele is certainly a buffoon, but to a large extent the GOP likes having that buffoon in place. He takes the fall for idiotic decisions and positions that are clear examples of the GOP wanting to have it both ways: they want to harnass some of that crazy teabaggin’ ODS wingnut energy, while publicly claiming that these are all ‘missteps’ by that crazy chairman guy. I believe they’ve been using Steele to float trial balloons and reach out to the crazy.

Meanwhile, Republicans who are disgusted with the RNC are blaming it all on Steele, and still giving money— to the alternative committee recently set up for that.

So the GOP still gets all the donations, splits off the old school big money Republicans who are rightfully disgusted with the current behaviour of the RNC, — AND gets to channel that sweet crazy Breitblart reachout to the crazies. Win-win for them.

And in the end it’ll all be blamed on an an incompetent black guy wrongly promoted above the level he’s competent at. Gosh, who are those messages directed at?/
