Apparently the dear folks over at Diary of Daedalus don’t like hearing about real, as opposed to paranoid, medieval history.

In a recent entry, you can learn that Yours Truly “clearly has a chip in her shoulder against Spanish people. Ever bitter of some historical grievances, she supports the occupation and near genocide of a people.”

Apparently, they’re mad because I mentioned that Jews did better under Muslim Spanish than Christian Spanish rule, and sometimes supported the Muslim armies making their way across Spain. Interesting, however, given the whole tone of this hysterical post, that I am the one accused of being bitter about historical grievances.

Anyway, I mentioned the anti-Semitism of Christian Spain, but apparently that doesn’t matter.

So because the Spanish were not too tolerant of Jews, this justifies and the near extermination of the Spanish people and culture? This is clearly a bigoted argument and one that shows her anti-Hispanic views that are typical of Elitist Progressives.

Anyway, I went on to comment that if you get Rodan going on the Moriscos, you’ll get a good sense of the vile racist vibe that contaminated Spain for generations following the Reconquest. He doesn’t disappoint. His response to that?

The Moriscos where either traitors or Arab Colonialists who needed to be removed. They got what they deserved for their Imperialist occupation and I for one have no pity for them. Good riddance to them and I’m glad my ancestors got rid of that filth.

A few notes:

1. Spain ain’t got no room to talk about imperialism, conquest, occupation, or genocide. I’m sorry. That’s just how it is.

2. I’m intrigued that for all the passionate concern the Stalkers show about anti-Semitism, it’s totally irrelevent if practiced by Christians.

3. I’ve never been the target of so much interest by stupider people. Lord God, these folks have a chip on their collective shoulder. They know no history, they have no real ideology except for hate and paranoia. Wow.
